10 Steps To Get New PPC Clients

10 Steps To Get New PPC Clients

Today I’ll share some tips for thoise readers who are looking for new pay per click clients. There is always a way to find new clients and the breakdown today will cover 10 steps to get them signedup.

How Does PPC Work?

For beginners: Pay Per Click PPC, SEM Search Engine Marketing is a method of paying for advertising space hence the name pay per click. Go to Google right now and search buy new car and you will the first 4 or so results will be little PPC ads. This is where businesses pay Google to have their ad show up at the top or bottom os search results.

This is extremely valuable for businesses especially if they make sales from it. It is also a not so straight forward advertising process, businesses get it wrong so many times. It takes a good online marketer to help them get up and running and making sales.

When I am on the hunt for new clients at the agency I work with I use a tool called ScopeLeads ( no longer for sale) that scrapes Google for companies paying for ads and calculates the position, industry and gives me a list of contacts and data for each results that I can then use to help these businesses get better results.

But today no cheating Ill do it the manual way.

Quick Note: You can use this 10 step system to get new clients in ANY industry (not just PPC), you’ll just need to alter the steps slightly.

Step 1: Pick a Niche

I dont suggest going broad and searching for anything this will be a huge waste of your time. You should pick a niche and stick with it.

What industry are you going to target?

  • Get an idea by typing some keywords into Google
  • Get ideas by looking at businesses advertising in your area
  • Look at offline options like magazines, mailout papers and newspaper adverts
  • What niches do you already have insider knowledge of?
  • What niches are making money and have high customer value?

Step 2: Find businesses advertising with Google Ads already

If you are going to get clients for this service its a good idea to start with prospects that already understand what it is you will be selling. Not everyone understands online. Don’t try to educate them on something new, instead help them with something they’re already doing.

Look at how they are running their ads and what they doing right but more importantly what they are doing wrong. Now you know exactly what you can do to help them. You just need to exlain to them.

  • Determine best suited relevant keywords from chosen niche
  • Search Google for those keywords and review the results (take notes)
  • Search SEMRush or SpyFu Ad data for those keywords
  • Note down any niche competition so you can use them in your pitch

Step 3: Pre-Qualify Your Prospects

You want to find opportunities where there is some good money to be made. Don’t waste your time with low dollar time suckers. One example is lawters they are very competitive because the money is good when they sign a new client. Think about industries that have high  charges to clients, those are the best for pay per click services.

  • Is your chosen niche spending a decent amount on Google Ads?
    • If not, then move on to another niche
    • Find with SpyFu or SEMRush
  • Gather list of prospects with estimated ad spend > $1,000
  • Gather list of prospects with estimated ad spend > $20,000
  • Remember the low dollar clients are a lower return on your time spent on them
  • Focus on the higher dollar clients as much as possible

Step 4: Complete Mico Ad Audit

You know what they are doing wrong now you need to convey that in your micro audit. This will be used to get you in front of the decision maker. Find the pain and agitate it. The more problems you find the bigger the opportunity.

  • Find problems with their website and ads
  • Does the website load properly?
  • Are they split testing Ad copy?
  • Are they using a call to action in their ads?
  • Are the Display URLs optimised?
  • Do the top three ads contain Ad Extensions (Sitelinks, Call, Location)
  • Mobile optimised website?
  • Are competitors beating them?
  • Are competitors bidding on their brand terms?

Step 5: Engage Prospect Contact

It’s time to reach out to let them know, “You are misisng out on a lot more sales revenue” or ” Your competitor XYZ is getting 5x more than you unless you fix this” type lines will get you responses.

  • Research business to learn of contact info and personnel
  • You wnat to find a decision maker not a receptionist
  • Contact the prospect
  • Start with email and then follow up with phone
  • Always convey that you have more than wha you have told them so that they know you have more to offer but wont give it up unless you get a face to face
  • Get past the gate keeper
    • Did I catch you at a bad time?
    • Who is the best person to speak to about some issues with the Google Ads account?
    • I’m calling/emailing about your Google Ads account and glaring issues that are costing you money
  • Conversion action is a second appointment

Key Takeaway

Prospecting is easy the real struggle is getting in front of the prospect and being given that 3-5 minute window to pitch your professional insights to the right person. You must have confidence in your data and your pitch to get the message across. You want them to sign you as their marketing company.

Step 6: Position Yourself &  Qualify the Prospect

Part I is positioning. Positioning is key to you being the right choice for their business or just some one man band with not many clients. Portray confidence, you did the research you know they are not getting a good return on ad spend.

Part II of this step is letting them know you have other options, even if you dont make it look likk eyou have options. You’re busy and can’t work with everyone, so make sure they’re a good fit.

  • Once they are hooked let them know you can’t work with everyone
  • Tell them you need to ask them a couple further questions to make sure they qualify
  • Verify how much they are spending per month with Google
  • Verify they have access to the Google Ads account (some agencies like ReachLocal don’t allow client access to their account)
  • Set second appointment to review your findings

Step 7: The Meeting

I shouldnt have to give this advice but dress the part. Look confident, smell confident and present like you are the guy that they need to fix their problem. Know your pitch inside out, be sure you know what slide everything important is on and how you will be presenting. Their device or your device and what you need to present on your device.

It’s time to show them what they’re doing wrong.

  • Show up early
  • Dress for the job you want
  • Be prepared with business card, notepad, pad and paper
  • First tell them a little about you and your company
  • Present your mini-audit findings
  • Integrate trial closes throughout the meeting
    • Does this make sense?
    • Do you see why this is important?
    • Did you learn something today?

Step 8: Close the Deal

You’ve demonstrated they could be doing better and you have the knowledge and the team to fix what’s wrong.

  • After you’ve presented your findings sit quite for a moment
  • Give them a chance to speak up
  • With any luck THEY ask YOU “what’s next?”
  • If they don’t speak up, simply ask, “do you want some help fixing these things?”
  • If they want your help, you sell them the full-audit
    • Internal look into the account instead of external like the mini-audit
    • You are going to need to do this work anyways, so you might as well get paid
    • Gives them another hoop to jump through before the big commitment
    • If they want you to jump in right away and start fixing then, include cost of full-audit in the setup fee

Step 9: What Should You Be  Charging?

My rules are to always start high, it makes you look more valuable and you can always offer a discount. Remember do not undervalue your knowledge they obviously need help and thats why you picked them out because you know the details. Charge what you are worth.

If you have to give them something to seal the deal, use a loss leader thats a low cost now but can be a higher cost to them once you have their full trust and support.

  • Mini-Audit – Free
  • Full-Audit – $1,000 or more (roughly 5 – 10% of ad spend)
  • Monthly Management – depends on ad spend but roughly 15 – 20% of monthly ad spend
  • Cost should depend on work that needs to be performed
  • Account setup
    • E-commerce site MORE depending on number of products
    • Lead gen site LESS than e-commerce, cost depends on number of services
  • Don’t forget to charge for setting up the stats tracking
    • Google Analytics goal tracking
    • Google AdWords conversion tracking
    • Call tracking
    • Google Analytics E-Commerce tracking
  • Increase value instead of decreasing price
  • Discount for payment in advance (this works great towards the end of year)
  • Don’t be afraid to push back

Step 10: Contract/Agreement

Don’t forget this step, it’s one of the most important. The agreements especially in this COVID crisis these terms and agreements sheets will be a revenue saver but also can help you to defer payments now in way of giving a couple of free months to pay due to COVID or what ever your agreement covers.

You need to have an airtight contract or agreement in place to cover yourself and your work. Imagine you have just busted a hump putting together a 10 ad group Google search campaign build for a new client and they decide that the leads are too slow. They then decide that you stalled and dont know how to manage the account, they want to leave and they take all your setup and ad copy and bail on you. These agreements cover your butt.

  • 12 month term with 90 day out if not happy
  • Auto renewal if not cancelled
  • Assignable
  • Mostly boilerplate except for Statement of Work
  • Statement of Work shows what you’re going to do
  • Set expectations of meeting times, mediums (in-person, phone, email, skype) and frequency
  • Show example of monthly reporting template

This is not the exact process you should use but its a great starting point that you can add or subtract and really make your own.

The goal is to get you more paying clients and thats what this framework will do for you. Prospecting is half teh battle, picking those higher paying niches can pay off if you can sign them. Good luck and sign them all up.

Email Marketing Guide: How You Can Start Earning

The Most Underrated Online Money Maker is Email

Ive been a little late to the party on getting email marketing content out but none the less this ones pretty packed with action sections that you can put in place to build your email marketing money. The beauty of sending emails and making money is hard to believe but its a real thing and its so powerful if you treat your list the right way.

If you look at the nuts and bolts of the real key takeaway here for you and for me in a nutshell is this key takeaway right here:

> Key Takeaway

  1. You need a website
  2. You need landing pages
  3. You need lead forms
  4. You need an email autoresponder
  5. You need some sales offers
  6. You need some content
  7. You need a sequence to tie it all together

My friends that is the keep it super simle overview of how you can make money using emails. But these 7 steps mean nothing unless you know the use case of each step in a little more detail. Ill cover each step in this guide and help you get that email money flowing in for beginners to medium marketers.

Advanced marketers and those already making lots of email money you already know the ins and outs of autoresponders and email sequences.

I use email marketing because it allows me to have a lifestyle that doesnt require me to be stressed or stuck working in one place. I can run this business from anywhere in the world as long as they have internet there Im all good.

Making money online is notthat difficult. It just seems that way at the start or if you get overwhelmed. Well here is the news and it’s not new. You need to focus. This guide shows you in great depth how you can create a simple system to make money online that can easily be scaled up without any saturation to the market.

Unfortunately there will be twotypes of people that read this guide.

First there will be shiny object seekers. People who will glance at this book and either move on to something else as it presents itself or glance at this and think they know it all. Either way they will nottake action.

Secondly there are the action takers. These people will read and digest the information we have provided and then put it into action.

It is important that you decide what sort of person you want to be, where you want get to and how you want to live your life. If the answers to those questions are something better, then you must take action. Better still take action now!!!!!!!

In this guide we have put together the system to allow you to create wealth online. Follow the steps in order. Re-read the sections over and over as necessary. We have tried to get the photos as big as possible but remember that you can zoom in if you need to!

In this guide I want to help take brand newbies and people making just on $1,000 a month to the next step and help that email money hit your bank accounts. Bold statement to say online but its really not that hard. If you apply the basic marketing principles and the step by step Ill show you here you will be successful in a month.

Important:

I want you to set a goal before you start this. Work out what you need to hit to have some freedom and I dont need be able to buy a gold lambo lets be real, realistically what $ figure would you need to not be stressed or worried about money all the time?

$100 or $1,000 or $4,000 or more. If you have a target you will be able to track your success better. Also when you hit your target its a really healthy thing to give yourself a small reward like a nice dinner out on teh town or a day spa visit what ever floats your boat.

I will ask you to aplly yourself to the work. You only be successful when you apply yourelf. Two key things I se of people in my community are that they have Focus and they have drive to be successful. If you can apply these 2 things you will be on your way.

What you need to do

At the bottom of most of each section I’ve  inserted a small section called ‘what you need to do’. This is small brief recap of what you need to do following reading the chapter.

It is not an alternative for reading the contents of the chapter, just a friendly reminder of what to do next, so read the chapters fully. Remember you are the one who needs this to work.

How To Build Your Email List

What is a list?

A list is a collection of email addresses that have been obtained by a user subscribing, completing an opt-in form or purchasing a product. By doing so we are building a targeted collection of people who have at least one common and specific interest. Once we are in possession of this list we can send them specific emails that may be of interest to them that contain offers that will earn us money.

Remember what a list is this will be very important later in this guide.

Why build an email list?

First of all email is not going anywhere. You also control this list of subscribers, customers and followers. Unlike Google and Facebook you control this traffic not them. You will be able to communicate with the audience when you want to and for the reasons you wnat to talk about. Never give Facebook etc full control of your audience in that instant that they decide your brand and images are not suited to their audience.

I’ve seen a lot of friends completely wiped out after a Google algorithm update and Facebook algorithm update. That is complete BS man.

Email has now become the number 1 form of communication. We no longer communicate to any real extent via traditional post methods. However remember that we always seem open our emails, even when we know it is trash.

Why? because it is personal. This has to some degree transferred onto email. Yes, we do not open every email. I know people with thousand of unopened emails, i’m one of them i currently have 72k unopened emails over numerous personal accounts. But despite that hundreds of emails still pique my interest daily.

The point is that social media has opened up a lot of ways to communicate in the recent years. But think about this. How many social media updates and statuses are put in front of you each day? How many do you actually read? Then think about the amount of emails you get and how many you read, The percentage will be massively in favor of email. People just read email because it is more personal. It is directly sent to a recipient. We feel obliged to check it out.

The beauty of the list as we have already established is that it is targeted. We know who they are and what they like, therefore we can predict their behavior. When we send an email it is effectively an advertisement. There is no other advertising platform out there (Facebook, twitter, google, bing etc) that can compete with a list in terms of targeted traffic to the right people. Compare monthly subscriptions charges for email marketing

services with ad charges and there is no competition. Therefore it is the most economical way to advertise your offers.

Problems most people have in building a list

They give up at the first hurdle or set back. This is really relevant to life. We all give up far too easy, regardless of the rewards. I can remember watching the first episode of ‘The Walking Dead’ and thinking it was slow and not for me. Years later because I persisted it is my favorite tv show. Not the best example granted, but I would have missed out. We do this all the time.

When building business or trying to improve our lives we will experience blocks in the road. It is how we meet these challenges. Every successful person will have many failures. That’s life. Sometimes things do not happen right away or the first time you try something. It is what we learn from the failure and the commitment to keep trying.

Many people struggle to build a list and then maintain it, because they have no strategy. They haven’t planned their entire funnel of how and why people joined their list and what their experience will be as they move through their business as a customer. Everything needs to relate to one another. If you want a productive list you need a strategy that links the people on it with what you will promote to them and why.

The lack of knowledge in what traffic converts is also an issue for list builders. It’s slightly different for every market. Some convert well in ads, some better on social media and some on video platforms. But then sometimes it can really just be how a person utilizes the traffic.

Lastly it is a lack of investment capital to put forward to build the business and pay for large amounts of traffic in order to build the business quickly. This is usually the main stumbling block people face. The confidence to invest. This is one of the reasons we wrote this book to show people that there is a way to build list on a neutral investment basis.

How To Build An Email Sales Funnel

A funnel is the journey a person experiences as they go through your business from being on the outside all the way through your offers in becoming a paid customer. Each element needs to complement each other to ensure that the customer keeps progressing through the funnel.

A simple list building funnel is as follows; a person opts in to a list in exchange for a lead magnet or having made a purchase of a product. They receive the item. They then receive regular email correspondence with updates or offers in order to increase the customer’s lifetime value to the company. I’m sure you will all be family with this process as we have all bought hundred of things over the Internet. We need to replicate this.

autoresponder follow up funnel

As you can see from the above diagram there is slightly more to the funnel. This enables us to have more opportunities and for the business to be much more productive.

Connecting web pages with forms and sending emails might sound like a technical nightmare on Elm street but its really not that complex. Remember the motto of keep it super simple. We wnat to keep it easy to manage and a tip how I manage sales funnels is to draw them out first and then build hem. After Ive built the funnel Ill save each URL in a workbook with teh name, offer, sequence, form, list name and notes so I know what and where it is in future.

We drive targeted traffic to a landing page where we offer a simple specific lead magnet or the opportunity to see an offer. If people are interested they will opt in and subscribe to receive their advertised offer or incentive (lead magnet). By doing so they are added to our list. We will then send them promotional emails as and when which will make us money over the long run on a regular basis.

When someone click on the opt-in button they will be presented with the offer. If they take advantage of this offer we will earning a commision. Alternatively if we have promised the person a freebie, we will also present them with the paid offer and merely supply the freebie by email. Either way we have the opportunity to earn commissions by presenting an enticing offer once they opt in. This gives us the opportunity to start making money straight away! If we offer a freebie it must be strictly linked to the following paid offer so that they are more likely to buy.

So let’s do some simple maths based on typical results.

  • You send 500 targeted visitors to your landing page.
  • 30-60% opt-in rate. (150-300 opt-ins)
5-10% purchase paid offer (8-30 sales)

These are typical results.

You will never get 100% because you will never interest everyone, it is just impossible to convert 100%. Dont aim for 100% always aim for 30% worst case and 60% best case in these situations. You can improve these rates by split testing and optimising the funnel and Ill cover that later in this guide.

Your front end offer doesnt have to make you money, use the backend funnel to get sales & conversions. These work much better as you have some rapport with the reader. The funnel will help you give value away for free and build trust working towards providing a sales offer to your list.

Your list will respond better the higher the value you have given them. If you straight up blast spam garbage offers at your list you will crash and burn my friends as simple as that.

How To Promote Sales Offers Over Email

As you can see from the funnel we need at least one offer to start with that will be presented to the customer after they opt in. My favorite starting point as an affiliate is to promote low paid CPA offers. Offers or products that cost the customer around $5-$10. The magic to this is these low value product typically have a deep sales funnel, if the product we are promoting has a deep sales funnel, then we can make a lot of money if the customers we send to the offer go onto purchase upsells in the funnel.

For example a customer may buy the front end offer for $5, then go onto buy the first upsell of additional content for $27, then a second upsell of additional content for another $27 and so on.

What is CPA

CPA stands for cost per action. In simple terms this means that you promote something and when somebody takes action you get paid a commission. The action can vary but typically it is making a purchase.

Where to find offers

The following sites I recommend as starting points when becoming an affiliate and CPA marketer. You will graduate upwards the more you sell and learn where the best offers are. But we all need to start somewhere.

Warrior Plus: warriorplus.com

Warrior Plus has a variety of make money online courses all of which have low priced (typically 100% commission) front end offers with variable commission deep funnels. I do think beginners should start here, teh low cost ticket items are perfect for getting your first sale.

The products wont be amazing and change lives but like all networks they have some great products that are mostly underrated because so much of the products on offer are complete shite. Beginners should start here until you have made at least 20 sales.

JVZoo: jvzoo.com

JVZoo has a mixture of courses and softwares that are slightly more higher in quality but typically have more expensive front end offers. Good to get involved with JVzoo offer when promoting to you list later down the line. Just be aware that a lot of JVzoo software offers are hit & run promotional style marketing.

There are gems among the herd but there is also a lot of software promotions that release a product and then in 6 months promote a NEW flashy shining product that is exactly the same but with 1 or 2 new features and has been rebranded.

I have several products from JVZoo that I promote but no more than a handful because the software development gets abandoned or the creators are scammy D bags. Use this platform at your own risk.

Click Bank: clickbank.com

Clickbank is also full of ebooks and courses, but are priced more expensively. Good to get involved with Clickbank offers when promoting to your list later down the line.

Other CPA networks:

cpalead.com

maxbounty.com

nexusoffers.com

ogads.com

cpagrip.com

The above sites lists a wide range of offers. There are offers that only require leads to payout rather than sales but these typically have lower commissions. A lot of the offers come via advertisers and therefore admissions to the networks can be a more difficult process, so we recommend joining the three recommendations above first.

What to consider when selecting an offer

When selecting an offer to promote there are a number of things you should consider. Firstly what is the quality of the offer? Are people promoting it already (good sign) and has the product creator a track record of producing products that sell. Secondly is the offer evergreen or at least current? Check out the product and see if it’s still relevant before selecting. Lastly you need to know what the commission rates are.

Two factors here. What % do you get from the front end product ie. the initial commission you get upfront when a sale is made and what the upsells are and the % you receive if sales are made. Also consider whether there are any recurring commissions, which means you get paid every month for example from one sale.

Your Affiliate Link

One thing to remember is that the affiliate link that is created is usually the domain of the network plus a long list of letters and or numbers. This is fairly long and unsightly in most cases because they track a lot of affiliates.

Not a major issue, but a lot of other websites and email providers do not like affiliate links and block them. Therefore we need to mask them. This is the process of hiding them behind another weblink that automatically redirects people to our affiliate link once it is clicked. The best way to do this is with your own paid hosting and domain, by creating a redirect link as this will have your own domain name and look great.

I prefer using bridge pages now for longer strategy goals. This is basically a bridge page where you can provide a bit more info or value and direct all link clicks to your affiliate offer.

For example;

www.mydomainname.com/thisoffer

As a starting point I suggest promoting ClickFunnels because it converts really well.  Find your link by registering at ClickFunnels and search for ‘affiliate signup’. The approval process is pretty quick and you can use it without owning ClickFunnels.

How to mask links with your hosting tutorial

Firstly log into your hosting control panel and go down to domains.

make redirects in cpanel

Choose ‘modify the redirects’.

Next choose the domain name you wish to utilize, then fill in the details. You will need to type in the page name which is what come after the forward slash.

So www.mydomain.com/theoffer. Then paste in the link to where you want it to be redirected to. Its best to keep it really simple so the URL looks clean and shows what the page may be to someone who is thinking about clicking on your link.

What you need to do

1) Sign up for ClickFunnels affiliate program.
2) Apply to promote the recommended offer.
3) Upon acceptance retrieve your personal affiliate link.
4) Mask or shorten your affiliate link

What Email Marketing Platforms & Tools Will You Need?

What is an email marketing system?

Email marketing systems (EMS) are online services that allow you to collate and store email addresses AKA your list. They then enable you to manage the list and send email as you see fit to the list or parts of the list.

You need to select you EMS to suit the level of service you require. Many people decided to start off with Mail chimp (http://mailchimp.com). This decision is typically made due to the offering of a ‘forever free’ level of service offered. For free they will allow you to create a list up to 2,000 people and you have the ability to send up to 12,000 emails (in total) per month. On the face of it that is pretty impressive. If you want a free to entry EMS this is the place to start. However the downside is that on the free option you do not get the benefit of any autoresponder features. You can send emails but can not create an autoresponder series, something which is so powerful in converting leads into sales.

What is an autoresponder?

The autoresponder series is a series of emails that you have pre-written that get sent to a customer at pre-determined intervals following their opt-in to your list. As you can imagine this is a very useful feature. For example you can immediately ‘remind’ them about the offer that was presented at the opt-in stage. You can also immediately deliver the lead magnet if you are offering one, which is the best tactic. Why? because it makes the customer definitely read the very first email you send to them. This helps us with future deliverability of emails as it helps the system see that we are not spam.

What are the options?

In terms of EMS that have autoresponders we have two options. We use an online service or we use a plugin to create our own. There are many services available. Such as Awebber, Get Response, Moosend, Mailerlite, Wishpond and Send Lane etc.. everyone seems to have their favorite. They do a similar job and are priced very similar. Typically starting at approximately 20 dollars per month rising as your list grows. Most give a month’s free trial. Alternatively you can purchase a wordpress plug-in than enables you to create an EMS on your wordpress website. With this option you only pay up front for the product, but in order for emails to be sent you need to log in. So whilst you can create an autoresponder you have to physically log in each day to send the days emails.

As your list grows you will probably need to upgrade your hosting package. Swings and roundabouts depending on the control and budget you require. I am finding Moosend to be amazing right now for my mailing campaigns.

Create a list tutorial

Firstly sign up to an EMS, take your pick. For the purpose of this tutorial we will walk you through Awebber, but others are very similar.

Once logged in. Choose to manage your lists.

Next we need to just click create a list.

Once the list is created we need to fill in the information. First we decide on the sender name (your name) the sender email address and our physical postal address.

Next we have to input a name for the list and the a description. The description will be see by a subscriber if they decided to unsubscribe.

Your list is now created.

What you need to do

1) Sign up or create an EMS

2) Create a list

How To Build Landing Pages

What are landing pages?

A landing page is a promotional web page with the sole purpose of

obtaining or convertingtraffic.

Landing pages generally fall within 2 types, firstly a squeeze page where we merely seek to obtain an opt-in to an email list or a sale page where we look to sell something.

We need a landing page to pre sell our offer which will increase the conversions of our traffic to sale.

If you google landing pages you will be met with a plethora of solutions for creating such pages. The high ranking sites will all be web based subscription services. Services such as Lead Pages and Click Funnels. Some of these services are incredible. Currently we are using Click Funnels and it is working exceptionally.

>> Get 14 day free trail on ClickFunnels

What are the options?

There are other options. Firstly if you have the skills you can create a page yourself. Alternatively outsource it. As it is a relatively simple exercise it will not cost much to get an expert to put one together for you. Just go on fiver.comand search for someone suitable. Make sure you speak with them first to get their experience and examples of their work. Make sure they can integrate your autoresponder.

We also have wordpress plugins. There are many out there like Thrive Landing Pages which work in a similar way to the web services options. We like thrive, it is not as slick as Click Funnels, but what it does it does very well. Plugins typically cost up front with no recurring fees.

Lastly if you want a totally free option you can create you own utilizing free plugins within the wordpress platform. It is totally possible to achieve decent looking landing page in this fashion without being a whizkid web designer. But you just need to accept that it will definitely take a lot more time to get it together and ultimately will not be as slick and easy as the other solutions other or be as attractive.

What needs to go on my landing page?

The landing page needs to pre sell the offer or gain an opt-in. Therefore you need three key elements.

1. An attention grabbing headline
2. Persuasive sale copy or video
3. A call to action with an opt-in box

Fairly straightforward set of elements. Just remember to consider your end goal. What is the purpose of this landing page. When putting a page together the three elements to consider are; the customer’s pain points, the benefits of the offer and how this solves the problem. Remember you do need to sell the offer to the reader. You need to get them to opt-in. If they leave before opting in you have lost them for good.

The landing page will be promoting an offer, so ensure that you have the link to where the landing page will send the viewer once they opt-in. Also when designing you opt -in try your best to make it similar to the offer page in terms of color schemes etc. You can also put similar phrases and words in your landing page. For example if the offer specifies certain earnings or results put these on your page.

How to build the funnel

The initial funnel will comprise of two or three simple elements. These are effectively two or three simple web pages that a customer will pass through as they opt in to your list. The first page is the landing page which we have discussed extensively above, but it is essential you persuade people to input their email address in exchange for a lead magnet or the opportunity to see and offer. Here is an example.

example clickfunnels page template

>> Try ClcikFunnels Free for 14 Days

At this point there are two options. This will depend on whether you are offering a freebie or are just pointing them in the direction of an offer. Once someone clicks ‘get instant access’ their email address will join our list. If you choose to send them to an offer we just need to make sure that the ‘get instant access’ button will re-direct the person to our affiliate link, this will differ depending on how you created your landing page, the initial funnel is over and we will then hopefully reconnect with them in the future via email. Alternatively if we are offering a freebie (lead magnet) we recommend a further 2 pages. The next page should be a landing page which introduces the offer, but really only links to the offer page, see below. But we add a no thanks link at the bottom which will redirect the viewer to a page which advises that the freebie has been sent to their email address.

how affiliate links work

They then have two choices either they see what the offer is or continue in the funnel. So we need the third page, which is the thank you page. Keep this so simple. Also always deliver the lead magnet whatever form it is in by email so they check your emails!!!

This system work well to ensure people read your emails from the start. Alternatively we send people straight to the affiliate link from our initial landing page.

What you need to do

1) Decide how you will create landing pages 2) Create landing pages
3) Build your funnel

You Must Have A Website & Email Setup

Having a website and email is crucial to any online business or money making method and should always be your very first tools you purchase. Some methods will tell you that they are not essential. Maybe they aren’t. But we always recommend that you jump onboard with a website and email because of additional benefits they provide.

>>> My Guide For Building A Blog

We need a website for the following

1. A domain name
2. Hosting
3. An email address at the above domain

Why do we need this?

Firstly it is your home on the net. It is a place where you can store all of your promotional material like landing pages, products or downloads. It will look so much more professional than a free hosting option and will give you continuity throughout your brand and message and elevate you as an authority and a genuine expert in the chosen field.

We also get the opportunity to create email from the domain. This is essential to anyone that wants to maximize what they are doing. Firstly we have the first impressions. When we send an email the reader sees who is it from. Always make great first impressions. For example

[email protected] rather than [email protected]

Secondly free email addresses like Gmail do not always make it to someone’s inbox. They can hit the spam or promotions part of the inbox and the majority of people do not check these boxes so we have effectively lost that person on the list. Increase your odds with a domain hosted email.

The incredibly useful benefit of having a domain and hosting is the ability to mask links by redirecting a webpage on our site to another site. This means that when we publish links it initially appears to be from our website. For instance we may have a link to an affiliate product on Warrior Plus and that could be something like

www.warriorplus.com/aha6s8hfsksof983jdsls0 Whereas if we set up a redirect link we could have a link like

www.mydomain.com/offer

What I need to do

1) Buy a domain with a hosting plan
2) Install wordpress
3) Create your own personal email with the domain name 4) Create re-direct links with your chosen offers

How To Build A Email Follow Up Sequence

What is an email sequence?

The autoresponder email sequence is a series of pre written emails that get sent to a customer at predetermined intervals following subscription to a list. We want to set this up so we can communicate with the list in the early phase on auto pilot. We just have to create a system that includes a series of emails that we always want to send to the list.

We can easily create email sequence within EMS that have autoresponder features like Awebber. We just have to decide on the content and the strategy and then draft out as many emails as we want to be sent out on autopilot to the new subscribers.

Within the sequence we have to build a relationship with the list so that they continue to open our emails. We have many options and many opportunities. Feel free to experiment. Many people like to introduce themselves whilst many like to go straight into promotion.

Generally we have 4 options;

● Provide value and engage the list

Provide content and information
Selling lots of crap
Promote the sale.

The whole mailing game is all about strategy, which i have alluded to above. You need to work out how you want to tackle it. Do you want to befriend the list? Do you want to just promote? Do you just want to give content 100% and leave monetization to a later date. Initially we recommend that you do the following regardless of your strategy.

Tip: Always deliver the lead magnet in first email

By delivering the lead magnet in the first email it forces people to recognize your emails straight away. High open rates of rate first emails will improve your chances of open rate as you continue mailing into the future. In the same first email you have an opportunity to remind the person about the paid offer your presented to them after they opted in to you list. It is also a great idea to mail over the course of the week further tips and content relating to the lead magnet and/or the paid offer always including a link to the offer. Once you have gone through this process and ‘warmed up’ your list adopt whatever strategy you see fit.

Email sequence tutorial

Again we will be using Awebber, but other provider are very similar.

Login and select your list then from the message drop down menu chose ‘campaigns’.

Next we must create a campaign and name it

This bring up the campaign editor. Choose to start campaign ‘on subscribe’. Which is self explanatory. Then begin building the campaign. On the left hand side we can drag and drop element. Either emails or wait. Think about your strategy and how frequent you want the emails to be then drag them in. Them edit the wait times of the waits.

We now to to start creating each email. Click on emails you have dragged to the centre them choose ‘create a message’ on the right hand side. This open the editor. Draft out an email and click save. You will be returned to the campaign page where you can click save and exit and it’s done!

What you need to do

1) Define your strategy
2) Plan a series of email
3) Load the auto responder with emails

How To Get Traffic To Your Website

This is where we find our customers. Free traffic strategies are very useful, I know many people who use free strategies exclusively and it works for them, however these are long term strategies. But most of these guys also supplement them with paid methods. As we said free methods do give longevity as we are leaving a footprint somewhere for people to find today, tomorrow or next year. Paid strategies typically give us quick results as we are getting qualified leads. This is because we are paying for something to be visible for a period of time.

In the online space paid traffic falls into three type;

1. Traditional ads

2. Modern ads
3. Email ads

Traditional

By traditional advertising we are referring to search engine ads. Here we promote websites at the top results of google or along the side column. As search engines are used so extensively we can get good results. The same goes for banner advertising on specific websites. Downside is that this can be fairly costly and targeting can be hit and miss.

Modern

Modern advertising relates primarily to Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. Facebook has become an advertising giant. They have taken advantage of their enormous user base and have cleverly utilized all of the data they have for each user. We are talking about pages you ‘like’ or groups you join. Your age, location, marital status etc.. The brilliance is in its simplicity. But that works for us, we can utilize this data and target ads to specific people. Works very well, buy can be expensive when working out what works.

Email

Then we have email ads. This is what we love. The whole business we are building is driven by email, so it make sense that our initial traffic should come from email. That way we know the people coming on to our list open emails!!The secret sauce. This really works for any type of niche, fine people who already have list and negotiate a price to send an email from their account to their list.

In the space we are utilizing which is internet marketing or making money online, we have the benefit of have solo ad vendors. These are guys who have built up and continue to build enormous lists of leads that are favorable to the internet marketing message. The cost of solo ads is priced by the estimated open rate. So typically you will put in an order for say 200 clicks (opens). This helps us to asses the efficiency of the ads. So let’s just recap on solo ads, they work because;

  • People read emails
  • Very cost effective
  • You get what you pay for
  • The audience is already targeted
  • The results are quick.

So going back to the funnel we gave you and the example of how the traffic can filter its way through into leads and sales.

Which was as follows;

You send 500 targeted visitors to your landing page. 30-60% opt-in rate. (150-300 opt-ins)
5-10% purchase paid offer (8-30 sales)

So we if we consider that a click may cost us 50 cents. So that is 50 cents for a single lead. Some people will think this is expensive, but if you consider that typically on average over the course of a year each email address on your list should be producing 1$ per month you can see how worthwhile it is. So at 50 cents the 500 clicks will cost us $250. In exchange for this we will receive 150 – 300 leads, which as long as we optimise our email effort will earn us the 1$ per month.

But we also get the 8-30 sales. What this equates to is hard to assess, as we will have the front end price which could be 7$, but each offer will have upsell of varying cost. On average we could take $15 of the average commission.

This means the 8-30 sale equate to approximately $120-600. Please do not get down of the ad doesn’t not make a profit or even come close. Remember we are in it for the long game and want to make money from the subscriber regularly!

How to chose a solo ad vendor

Choosing a solo ad vendor should be no different to any other investment you make. You need to do due diligence to make sure they are capable to fulfilling the service you are in need of. First of all check out the reviews. Here’s a good tip for choosing anything. Make sure there are a mix of good and bad. From experience if all reviews are 100% good, something can’t be right. If something is real, it will have ‘haters’ remember that. But assess what’s on offer and make a balanced decision.

We also need as much tier 1 traffic as possible. Our message is in english, so we need, typical english speaking countries like USA, UK, Canada, Australia etc.. There no point wasting money on people who potentially can’t understand the message or haven’t got the money to spend.

Most vendors will provide statistic and so will the reviews of the vendor. We need to check out the open rates and the opt-in rates to see what vendor are proving quality traffic. Some vendor will guarantee opt-ins, which is great, but may be slightly more expensive however they may give you more guidance due to their guarantee.

Speak with the solo ad vendors and tell them about the offer you want to promote. Many will give advice. Some will offer to write the copy in the email. Some will also produce the landing page for you. Why? They want results too so you reccomend them, or continue to use them.

Find Solo Ad Vendors

There are numerous solo ad vendors.

First of all check out facebook groups that have solo ad testimonials, there are many.

Some other great solo ad sources are Udimi.com

What to monitor

When you send a solo ad you need to monitor and track statistics. You cannot just go by how many pole join your list despite that being the keep metric. You need to monitor that you are getting tier 1 traffic and whether you are getting the clicks you requested. We can do this with link tracking software like Clickmagick. There are many alternatives out there. The software tracks the links that you put in the email and how it is exposed to other email boxes and whether it is read or clicked. Ask the solo ad vendors how they prefer to track the solo ads.

What you need to do

1) Research solo ad vendor and communicate with them

2) Track links
3) Make solo ad

Now You Start To Split Test Performance

This an element of any business that most people do not consider important. If we go back to the start where we spoke of the mindset and also where people go wrong trying to build profitable lists it was that people give up too easily. They hit a roadblock or something doesn’t work straight away and they then wave the white flag. This is life people. Sometimes things don’t go well the first time. If everyone gave up when this happened nothing in the history of the world would have ever happened.

When things don’t go as smoothly as we thought or we want to improve we need to makes changes. This is where testing can be great. In this type of business what can we test?

Offers – some just suck
Landing pages – Color, headlines, pictures
Lead Magnets – Some will work better for different audiences Solo ad vendors – Some have better leads
Emails – Headlines and content style

Trial and error. Mistakes and rewards. You will need to learn on the job in many ways, but you can see there are many ways you test different things to see if results improve. Just do not give up.

The Key Takeaway

When I set out to create this project I wanted it to be a guide that was easy to follow with a clear message. I also wanted it to almost be a bible for building an online business that ANYONE could do. I feel we accomplished it here.

We’ve shown you the theory behind every element of an online business and we’ve also shown you what YOU need to do. If you follow each step you will struggle to fail.

Just remember if you send targeted traffic to carefully selected lead magnet or offer you will build a list of targeted emails. This in turn can be converted into sale after sale.

ClickFunnels Review Is It Worth $297 A Month?

ClickFunnels Review True All in One or Hype?

It’s hard to believe that not everyone on the planet has heard of ClickFunnels with the volume of advertising and relentless retargeting that they do. In short ClickFunnels is a landing page builder with email functionality and organises all of these pages in a sequence that is called a sales funnel. These are used to help provide visitors with opportunities to purchase your goods and services on every page throughout the buyer journey.

This is a big review and because this product does so much I think it deserves mentioning some of the key features that it provides online marketers.

What I want to do is to provide a review that cuts through the hype as I am a user of this software I have positive comments and some not so positive feedback. ClickFunnels does come with a lot of hype and an often cult like following so Ill give you my experiences using the software without the cult like behaviour 😝

ClickFunnels has made a pretty big name for itself since it started, becoming one of the largest marketing SaaS (Software as a Service) companies around. Why  there is such a devoted following comes from one of their core operating principles and that is about giving businesses software that helps them turn visitors into customers online.

This product has grown at an incredible rate and considering they bootstrapped this and didnt take any external funding it is a very high performing software company.

I associate most and I mean most online marketers as a little shady. I mean what code of conduct do they operate under and who governs them? I just take some of them with a grain of salt and dont buy in on first glance. Saying that the team that own this software company are really takented marketers and developers who understand marketing and have it down to an artform.

They took an average landing page builder and turned it into now one of the best all in one marketing toolkits available online. They turned a very simple software into one of the most in demand softwares that marketers are adding to their tool stack.

In this ClickFunnels review, I’ll go over the features, the pro’s and con’s and then review feature sections so you can see how each part fits into the overall score. There will be positive and negatives here no ones perfect.

Regardless of whether you choose to use it or not, it’s an important software player that anyone selling online needs to take notice of and understand how it could change your business.

Now before we get into the bones of this I rated this product at 4 bags of gold and I’ll explain why later in thsi review. Keep reading to find out why!

What is ClickFunnels?

ClickFunnels started back in 2014, but in just three years it’s been, silently revolutionizing the online marketing industry. Here’s the gist of ClickFunnels: It makes it easier for businesses and entrepreneurs to sell stuff online using otherwise complicated marketing technology, called sales funnels (more on those in a second).

The founder of ClickFunnels, Russell Brunson, is as famous as his creation, and for good reason. He’s made a fortune, not only from ClickFunnels, but other marketing adventures. He played around with email marketing for a while, and eventually began to master sales funnels.

Russell Brunson is the bestselling author of DotCom Secrets and Expert Secrets, two books that his fans rave about and that guide people through his marketing methodologies.

You can get his first book free the Dotcom Secrets went viral skyrocketing to number 1 best seller and remained there for almost 2 years as the top selling internet marketing book ever recorded.

His book Expert Secrets is a number 1 best seller and you can get it free on his website here.

ClickFunnels started out as a way to help the creators launch sales funnels faster and have more streamlined connectivity between their assets. After quickly learning just how powerful it was having everything on one platform Brunson and his team decided to take what had worked for them and commercialise it into the ClickFunnels software platform that we all know today.

Developing funnels shouldnt be hard it should be fun and make you a tonne of money.

What Are Funnels? How Sales Funnels Work

I work with sales funnelsl every day they can be as simple as a 3 page flow or as complex as your mind can imagine. But If I was to break it down to its most simliest form the sales funnel is a series of web pages that connect and move a visitor through a series of sales products and offers helping the seller to offer more opportunities to sell in one connected activity.

Another example is visiting an ecommerce store and going from the product page to the add to cart page to the checkout page and that whole expereince of selecting a product and purchasing it is in a nutshell a sales funnel.

Unfortunately, that still doesn’t turn many of your visitors into customers. In a brick and mortar shop, that’s like people walking into your shop but not knowing where the cash register is, so they leave the store without buying anything. In a physical store, you can talk your customers into buying something. In a digital shop, you may be a little more distant from your visitors. This is where your funnel comes in—it’s designed to appeal to your customers’ through principles of psychology. The funnel works step-by-step, bring traffic in closer and closer until visitors end up at a payment page.

I could geek out on teh inner workings of sales funnels all day they are truly amazing when you break them down and tweak specific elements. Using ClickFunnels to build these is a lot of fun. It makes it so darn simple. Russell Brunson drinks his own coolaide and is an avid user of the ClickFunnels toolkit.

“There are people today that need what you have to sell. They are waiting for you to find your voice so you can help them change their lives. Thats why we built ClickFunnels to help you showcase your voice in teh market.”

Russell Brunson

Pros – ClickFunnels Review

I really like the simplicity and have everything under one platform. ClickFunnels excels at this. It does the job of saving me time and money and saves my head from exploding by eliminating the sheer number of tools and subscriptions that I need just to make great sales funnels.

This Software Will Make You Money

This software is developed by some of the best marketers online. It has one purpose and that is to make you more money. Setting up sales pages is easy and theres additional training and support for learning how to get people on those pages to convert into sales.

You should be able to get your first live sales funnel up for a beginner in an hour or two and then improve on those times as you learn the ins and outs of the software.

For people who know their way around websites and domains you should have a sales funnel up in around 30 minutes or so its that easy.

Drag and Drop Page Builder

Built with Ruby On Rails the page builder is a drag and drop interface thats so simple a beginner could design a very attractive web page. You can move and customise almost everything.

To save you even more time they build in a host of templates that have been battle tested to convert. This allows you to get entire sals funnels up and connected in minutes. Change out some content and images and boom you are on your way.

One of the things I have to say is building funnels with ClickFunnels is just fun its so much fun building and connecting these funnels I really give them points for making it so damn easy and enjoyable.

A/B testing

Built in A/B testing is great too. All you have to do is duplicate a page, make your changes, and choose the amounts of your traffic you want to see version A or B.

Integrates Into Almost Everythng

The team at ClickFunnels have thought of most things when it come to integrations. They connect with email platforms, CRMs, CMSs and so much more. The way the API works is a breeze and most people techy or not can connect their platforms with ClickFunnels without needing a developer to help them.

ClickFunnels WordPress Integration

You’ll also find that there is a WordPress integration using a plugin that lets you add ClickFunnels pages to your WordPress website.

The Clickfunnels WordPress plugin is also rated a solid 4.4 stars in the WordPress plugin repository, with over 20,000 active installations. I honestly find it buggy and outdated, It should match the design and user exerience that ClickFunnels platform has but it doesnt.

I do find using the plugin to import my ClickFunnels sales pages much faster than the work I would need to do if this plugin didnt exist. I do save myself a lot of time by using this method of integarting WordPess and ClickFunnels.

All In One Marketing Tool Platform

Overall, I love having everything at the touch of my fingertips in one central place. Ive run businesses from spreadsheets and multiple softwares to do a simple task but ClickFunnels make it entirely possible to run your entiure marketing campaiogns from one central platform for one billing price.

All of my marketing needs in one place:

  • Landing pages
  • Lead forms
  • Payment processors
  • Email sequences
  • Email lists
  • Domains

All of this really does save you time and money. If you compound teh time logging in and out fo platforms it adds up to wasted time.

Plus with the ease of using thsi tool you will save thousands on developers and designers.

Reasonable Value

There are 3 price ranges and you can run most of your business on teh lowest level. I run with the $297 monthly fee because it allows email management and an affiliate manager feature with sticky cookies.

The level 1 plan allows you to do a lot and if you take the free 14 day free trial that is more than enough time to get started and get your first sale.

If you have more than 20,000 visitors and need over 100 pages, the level 2 plan is just what you need. It features A LOT of things and you will be able to run your entire online business from thsi tool.

Value add from ClickFunnels is that you get these extras

  1. Templates
  2. Full sales funnel series templates
  3. FunnelFlix access
  4. Scripts and flow maps
  5. A very talented company of marketers

Templates – the library is full of different templates and funnel pages.

Funnel series – there are pre built funnel flows that you can upload in seconds and have a full page to page funnel all set up.

FunnelFlix – FunnelFlix is ClickFunnels version of Netflix where they have added all their library of training courses and added some featured guests courses to help you build your skills as a marketer. This is insane value, some people have paid $5k+ upwards for just one of these courses and you have over 100 courses to choose from.

funnel flix upgrade

Scripts and flow maps – These are included in teh templates, for every template funnel series there is a map showing you how it works and a script to use with it.

I can highly recommend that ClickFunnels is perfect for beginners and intermediate marketers and business owners who want to get as much ease of use from a marketing tool as they do want to make more money. It covers all the features you need to start or build a online business.

The Extra Things On Offer

Now there are several extra things that ClickFunnels can do for you once you start using the tool

Choose your dream car – Learn More.

Coditions do apply so read those here.

30 day challenge – Learn more.

This is a community challenge where you are encouraged to build your next business in 30 days. This is entirely possible with this tool. This is aimed at beginners and people who may be thinking about starting another business.

* I did not take part in this because I had other business focuses. If I get a moment to breathe in teh future I would actually enjoy racing against the clock to start a new business against others.

Affiliate marketing bootcamp – Learn more.

I found this really helpful for just the way that people would use ClickFunnels for affiliate marketing it showed me how many different use cases there were. I recommend this as a learning ground for affiliates.

Software referral commissions

Users are allowed to promote the software for a commission and build some extra income by telling people how much they love the software. Here I am telling you its amazing and hoping you purchase as subscriiption to help me with my marketing fund 🤗

Cons – Clickfunnels Review

I’ve got some bad news: even though ClickFunnels is overall strong, it has quite a few areas that need work.

Overpriced 💰💰💰💰💰

While yes it can make you money it does cost money to use it. For me being in Australia we have a crumbling Aussie doller and ClickFunnels charges in USD so $297 monthly looks more like $95.17 to me 😥

I could use teh $97 monthly plan but I do really need to have the advanced options inside Actionetics for my email campaigns.

To me its worth it but for others it may not be. I would be much more positive about the price of the subscription when the Aussie doller climbs back to $0.80 of the USD.

the aussie doller

Customer Service

I find that most of my questions are crowd sourced, and ClickFunnels does run a community sourced reward system for people who problem solve support requests. I dont really want random community members digging around my account or knowing my campaigns.

Sometimes technical support solves my problems other times I get confusing vague answers. That moves my request into a open source problem solving queue.

Cult-like user base and software too reliant on Founder

Looking at the community from the outside you can see a very cult like pattern of behaviour. Russell Brunson has openly discussed how he used to study the worlds cult leader for tips on how to start a cult and get the reactions cult members have for his own product. No harm in wanting to build an army of fans but cults are taboo.

The marketing tactics are amazing well delivered but for anyone watching and paying attention you can see the breadcrumbs. There is a cult like movement happening in the ClickFunnels world.

It just takes you opting in to one of their funnels to see the writing on the wall. Very hype driven and fast paced leaving you sometimes a little dazed by what just happened. There will be a full suite of tools, courses and ebooks thrown at you if you open your wallet and thats just the start.

Hats off to their marketing team they have grown the company from start up to HUGE with no captial investments and fully bootstrapped.

I just want to say I dont quite know what happens in cults as its not one of my past times.

Ive joined the Facebook group to learn how others are using it and in what niches but my feedback is for beginners maybe dont go into the Facebook group for at least a month or two. There are some good general tips of how someone makes it work for them but in that same breath we are talking about marketers here.

There is usually a landing page linked in teh comments or post that the user is trying to build a list and audience to promote their stuff to. This brings upo another sore point that is a large chunk of the community is people bragging about how much money they made and flashing their sports cars. Though these numbers are may be real, they give an impression that its teh quick buck they are after and not long term success.

ClickFunnels has helped people do great things, but it’s also helped proliferate quick rich schemes, online courses, saturation of coaches and experts, and other spammy internet marketer stuff.

We all know the founder is a marketing wizard, but so much of the product is tied to his brand and his philosophy. As much as I appreciate the landing page builder, everything around it seems like an extension of Brunson’s platform.

Template feel

There are hundreds of thousands of ClickFunnels users and a lot of tehm will be using the templates for landing pages. This isnt really a big deal yet but as they grow more and more of those highly tested fopr conversion template pages will start to lose their feel and convert a lot less as they became the inndustry standard for template look and feel.

A lot of people put minmal thought into their sales pages and use templates over and over again. I like to build custom  pages and have unique features and try to stand out more than the next guy. You should to if you pick up this tool.

Software Outages and Bugs

Every now and then, ClickFunnels will go down or experience some errors. Though this really doesn’t happen often, there’s little you can do but wait. They do have a enourmous user base and are growing weekly. I understand server load issues and trying balance that with resource serving but as a paying cuistomer I really just want it to be sorted out.

If you’re investing a lot in advertising or driving traffic to your funnels and a ClickFunnels’ glitch brings your pages down for even a few hours, you can potentially lose a lot of money.

I would love to see a notification feature or a automated redirect feature where if your page goes down they automatically redirect to the root domain or a safety page for lead capturing.

User experience changes

I expect this from a SaaS platform to be continually updating their user interface for better user expereince. The negative is there are times things move and you need to take a moment to find them, constant affiliate and tersm and conditions update d agreements to confirm and new buttons added.

Slightly confusing but again this should be expected for any growing software to be adapting to its user base. I like consistency in my software, especially if it’s a business solution but it wouldnt be a bad thing if there was a way to be notified of these changes and given a view of where and how it has changed.

ClickFunnels Pricing – How much is Clickfunnels?

ClickFunnels has three pricing plans—Standard, Platnium and Collective. The level 1 standard plan is $97 USD a month, the Platnuim level 2 plan I use comes in at $297 USD monthly and the newest plan is the level 3 ClickFunnels Collective plan coming in at $1,497 monthly. Huge jump in price points there.

I use the level 2 plan for everything and also don’t miss that 14 day free trial. Ive been able to use that and make that monthly subscription fee back in less than 6 days so you can get the free trial to pay for your actual subscription.

Get a 14 day free trial to try out the service.

sTake the free trial see what its all about and then you don’t need to commit to an expensive plan right away. If you pay annually instead of monthly, you get two months free so a small saving is better than none.

Those fees when converted from USD to AUD are a bit hefty hey? Well, some would say so, and I can see why—especially if you compare to Thrive Themes & Leads, a similar (overlapping, but definitely not identical) service which starts at $25 a month. However, it is important to keep in mind ClickFunnels’ main service is to make funnels more efficient, and it does a pretty good job. I personally consider it a good investment.

The main differences between an entry level account and a premium account are as follows: StartUp gets the main service, the funnel-builder, with some limitations on the amount of pages (100), visits (20,000), custom domains (3), and only some of the full list of features.

These plans have a huge jump in price per month and not as much is reflected in the features per plan. Each of these plans comes with the A/B split testing features meaning you could use that to turn average pages into money making pages.

The unlimited allowances are only for the two laregr plans and really do you need unlimited funnels and pages? prob not.

All plans allow share funnels where you can share ytour funnels and use other peoples shared funnels. FunnelFlix, Funnel hacker forum and chat support are same across all plans.

You should look at the number of custom domains you are allowed per account. This is pretty important, also ClickFunnels is not to be used for agency style client management you should be working in your clients account if you are an agency.

Platnium and Collective are where you have more control around your email marketing and payment gateways and teams.

To summarise the differences, ClickFunnels standard plan gives you everything the bigger plans have except follow up funnels with Actionetics email tool, Peer reviews, and a much lower limit on what you can have active in your account at one time.

Features Overview – Clickfunnels Review

How are ClickFunnels’ features overall? I think they’re solid and you get everything you need. They’re very intuitive and you have enough control to make a online business from this platform.

The way the funnel builder works and organises all the page steps in the funnel it does make it easy to manage your sales funnels and overall your online business.

A/B split testing is a smaller feature, but definitely a notable one.

If you duplicate a page and make changes to the copy, the split test basically lets you choose what percentages of your traffic you want to see per page, letting you test conversion rates very handily. It’s a great function and very easy to use.

I also think ClickFunnels is overall flexible and straightforward for other settings, like your account details or integrations. Maybe very tech literate people would find them restrictive (a common theme among some criticisms), but as the service is supposed to be easy to use, I thought the basic features were pretty good.

There are quite a few types of available pre-made funnels, oriented to different types of businesses, and you can of course build your own funnel from scratch too.

Actionetics and Backpack

These addons didnt make any sense when I first purchased ClickFunnels the naming conventions were not very clear what they did or the importance they played in the ClickFunnels universe.

Actionetics is an email marketing tool that helps you build email lists, segment contacts and manage automated email sequences. This email auto responder is very robust and provides a smart analytics dashboard where you can review campaign performance.

You will have the ability to run SMS text messaging campaigns from this tool as well. I dont do any of that so I wont cover it in this review.

Backpack tool is used for managing your own affiliate program. This intends to make overseeing the affiliate army you command easier and more efficient.

Here’s the full list of StartUp features
  • 20 funnels
  • 100 pages
  • 20,000 visitors
  • unlimited contacts
  • 3 custom domains
  • A/B split tests
  • Email integrations
  • Optin funnels
  • ClickPops
  • ClickOptin
  • All advanced funnels
  • Sales funnels
  • Membership funnels
  • Unlimited members
  • Auto webinar funnels
  • Hangout funnels
  • Order pages
  • Upsell pages
  • Downsale pages
  • Share your funnels
  • 1 SMPTP integration
  • 1 billing integration per type

You can view the full list of features, along with Full plan limit features, here.

If you’re in a position where you can afford the bigger plan give it a go or take a 14 day free trial. I dont think everyone needs these two added tools to manage a business, but for my business I need that robust email marketing feature and some affiliate management functionality so it suits me.

The level 1 plan will suit most users but again buy this based on your needs and what you are aiming for with your business.

Clickfunnels Review – Page Builder

This is probably ClickFunnels core feature. I feel it is one of teh best features about this product and provides a lot of flexability when building landing pages. The page builder is solid and for beginners this will be a huge plus for you getting landing pages up and running in no time.

Interestingly ClickFunnels shrugs away from labelling itself as a page builder software and advertises itself as a complete funnel building software even though its main function is that of building landing pages.

You can see a lot of templates listed in the images here and thats only a screenshot there are a lot more. The best landing page are the ones that you can create that speak to your audience with your message. Templates dont have that power of connection. You can also purchase add on funnels from teh marketplace, these are tested and have proven sales generated and make it easy to use a specific style of design.

When you build a really high converting funnel there is a feature to clone the funnels or save as favourites to use again and again. The template library is really easy to navigate and filter page types by a sidebar filter system. Super easy.

Once you load a template you like everything switches to a drag n drop page builder. This page builder is fun and easy to use.

The editor uses a page structure with four main parts: sections, rows, columns, and elements. The rows, columns and elements sit inside of sections.

Like this:

How Clickfunnels page builder works

You can have multiple sections per page. Rows and columns go inside sections, but columns specifically go into rows. This way you can have a row with one column, or up to four. Elements are the dynamic bits that go inside columns and make your page interactive to its visitors.

It may sound complicated, but it’s pretty easy to get the hang of. Everything is color-coded see above image for the colours used. Section is the foundation with everything else sitting inside of it. The row and column work side by side and form the layout of your pages. Then the elements are the filler for the page and its really as simple as that.

You can also edit by section, row, column, and so on, from the side bar. All the little details and parts of your page can be moved or altered. You have full control.

The template editor allows for plenty of customisation, but offers good control too. You can do all sorts of things—mobile previews, edit colors, text, settings, and just about anything you expect.

The page builder comes with really good UI and it works as intended but the only restriction I see is that you need to work within the columns and rows set by the builder.

If you do save your work in the builder give it 4 seconds or so to actually save before checking your work. It needs to save your edits first before you will see them appear.

You can do a lot in the page builder it is one of the more stable builders available online.Everything in the settings is straight forward and they have multiple settings and adjustments available for all common elements.

Using the page builder is fun. I enjoy how seamless it is to build pages and make changes I do really rate it as a builder.

Key takeaway: this builder serves ClickFunnels’ goal: to make it easier for you to make money online.

ClickFunnels Integrations

Integrations are exactly what they sound like: other marketing tools you integrate into the ClickFunnels software. There are a few different types of integrations you can add to your ClickFunnels account: email, webinar, SMS/text, and actions.

I have not used the text message options in my campaigns so I wont comment about them. But it is possible to deliver sms marketing campaigns.

You are not limited tio using ClickFunnels built in tools for everything there is a choice. I was using MailChimp  for the emails before I fully converted to the native Actionetics email tool. This was an easy integration that took no more than 3 minutes.

ClickFunnels has partnerships with some pretty awesome third party platforms and when you do volumes like they do it gets easier to negotiate better deals for your community.

Here’s a list of current integrations:

  • Active Campaign
  • Aweber
  • Constant Contact
  • Convertkit
  • Drip emails
  • GetResponse
  • GoToWebinar
  • GVO PureLeverage
  • HTML Form
  • HubSpot
  • InfusionSoft
  • Interspice
  • Mad Mimi
  • MailChimp
  • Maropost
  • Ontraport
  • SalesForce
  • Sendlane
  • ShipStation
  • Shopify
  • Twilio
  • Webinar Jam Studio
  • YouZign

If you go to the integrations settings page, you can search for these or just click the search bar and they will show up as you type.

When you need to integrate ClickFunnels into other third party tools you can connect most platforms quite easy with a couple of clicks of a mouse button. I did find this process really easy and I understood this on first attempt with very minimal assistance.

Overall they provide a very simple way of adding and managing integrations.

Payment gateways are something you will 100% require if you plan on making money from yoru landing pages. Payment gateways get integrated and on other software platforms are just called integrations, but on ClickFunnels they get a section separate from integrations. They may also be known to ClickFunnels as billing integrations.

Your shop won’t really be much of a shop unless you’re using a payment gateway.

A list of the payment gateways you can add:
  • Stripe
  • Infusionsoft
  • Warriorplus
  • JVZoo
  • ClickBank
  • Taxamo
  • Ontraport
  • Blue Snap
  • Easy Pay Direct
  • NMI
  • Recurly

Managing all of these integrations is pretty easy. In my experience, these integrations usually run smoothly and you don’t need to reconnect them once they are setup and connected.

“I could run one arm of my business with ClickFunnels and Stripe. In reality thats all I would need to run my affiliate businesses from my laptop with one paid subscription and my Stripe processing fees. Brilliant design, smooth conversion funnel and just simplicity”.

Ease of Use – ClickFunnels Review

If you haven’t picked it up by now, ClickFunnels’ main sell is its ease of use—as their ad says, “Don’t waste any more time with ‘tech guys!’” this is 100% accurate.

The key to their success is simplicity of something thats been such a headache for so long in online marketing. Sales funnels can be complex but they dont have to be. Beginners can pick up ClickFunnels software and do all of the things.

But ClickFunnels is still not a silver bullet for all your marketing needs. You will still need to know how to market and write sales copy. Understanding domains and email SMTPs and all the basics of connectivity are still required. You cant just run ClickFunnels and be sweet.

For beginners: you may be overwhelmed to start with but once you learn the navigation and what things are named you should be fine in a day or sooner. Actually Russells first book Dotcom Secrets is all about how to use ClickFunnels and the art of building a sales page.

As someone who had multiple tools and platforms for building sales funnels before ClickFunnels I think its a huge time saver and feel much better knowing everything is under one roof. They have the support team in place and a database of docuemnts and videos to help get you doing great things with the tools.

You might be just like me and have such a good time making funnels with the builder and connecting everything that you end up with lots of random themed funnels in your account. The doing is so much fun, the drag n drop editor is great and so easy to use.

The navigation menus are easy to use and everything is 1 or 2 clicks away. The hardest part should be connecting your payment processors and CRMs etc and when I say hardest I mean 2 to 3 clicks of a button.

While the sales approach is its dead easy to use, it is and it isnt there are parts that are buggy and need a little more reading around what and how to do it. But for the most part its very easy to use. Another small problem is updates and when they move buttons or features and you need to go looking for them, some simple communication would be appreciated but it is not the end of the world.

Key takeaway: very easy to use with some reading required and be prepared for a fun time building your online empire.

Who is ClickFunnels for?

This is my view on who its really for, I think the people who benefiot from this product the most are business who use onkline traffic as their main source of revenue.

Who gets the most from ClickFunnels:

  • Affiliate marketers
  • Ecoimmerce store owners
  • Marketers
  • Business owners
  • Online coaches & trainers

In short if you use paid traffic in your marketing you will get great results from ClickFunnels. You could run your business with just ClickFunnels and a payment processor.

You will notice when you subscribe that some templates are very focused towards Dentists, Gym owners, Restaurants and very niche businesses.

In all transparency ClickFunnels benefiets the most from anyone signing up and they want you to stay in their ecosystem and spend with them. I get it and I understand its business. For SaaS businesses competition is relentless, and oh boy does ClickFunnels have a long list of competitors.

While these templates help you get something up quickly you can 100% build from scratch your own funnels. These funnel templates are great but a little template feeling especially if you are seeing a lot of funnels.

The core of this software is to help you build better landing pages. If you dont need landing pages this tool may not be for you, but if you have a product that is just not converting it might be a benefit for you to move to ClickFunnels.

Customer Support – ClickFunnels Review

ClickFunnels’ customer support is one of teh products weaker features. I really do appreciate all support workers in IT and marketing it is a tough job. This support team being used is great at trying but at actually solving problems is where they fall over on their sword.

I like how you are able to search the support knowledgbase for problems that you may be having thats great and saves time.

The only support request I was not able to have resolution around was adding Australian GST tax identifiers to my customer reciepts. They directed me to Stripe who sent me back to ClickFunnels and teh endless loop that I have still not resolved.

Ive not had a many problems with customer support although I do have one tehcnical issue with how I show local tax on reciepts. Apart from that one issue Ive had really good support expereinces with the direct support team.

Overall Support Rating

Direct support does a great job and when they cant handle teh technical questions there is community support and Ive had mostly good expereicnes with community support.

Conclusion – ClickFunnels Review

My final rating of of ClickFunnels software is 4 money bags out of 5 💰💰💰💰

The speed that you can pick it up and run with it and have live pages is really imnpressive. Beginners will find this helpful.

I really enjoy using it and get a lot out of it for my moneys worth. If I pay $297 and can make even double that in return from using the software then I’m happy with that. Saving me time and money I do rate this highly its just some small things that they could address to make it the most all in one platform for marketers.

I use a lot of page builders and email tools and having this in an all in one rocks my socks. The templates and funnel flows can save me so much time when I find a new niche opportunity and want a funnel launched on that day.

My negatives are the over hyped self promotions, buggy at times and some members of the community who want to empty your wallet.

The key takeaway is for an all in one marketing toolkit this ClickFunnels product is solid. A well polished option that is ahead of most competitors and continuing to grow. Price as an expense verse revenue attributed to this tool I’m fine paying for it because of what it helps me generate in 💰💰💰💰 4 bags of coin for this sweet marketing software.

I found ClickFunnels really easy to use and fast when I want to get a new landing page up I can blaze through the setup and have a new funnel ready in about 35 minutes including emails and payment gateway setup. It really does save me time. 4 out of 5 money bags! 💰💰💰💰

How To Hold Yourself Accountable

How To Hold Yourself Accountable

How many times have you planned to build that affiliate site in that awesome opportunity niche but you didnt?

How many times did you plan that masterpeice content hub article but didnt?

If you are like me and have a stream of new ideas at every second of the day and take time out to capture those thoughts and plans then this is for you. I also and it is a weakness I know I have, is I do not have enough time in the day or the week to take action on every idea.

This has stalled my growth more often than helped to grow my businesses. As opposite as that sounds but having all these new ideas forces me to take my eye off the prize. I get distracted by these new thoughts and by the time I plan out the last new idea I already had three more new ideas and Ive mnoved on to those.

This was the thorn in my achilles heel when I started out online. I would move from thought to thought and not give the last idea enough attention to get the momentum rolling.

What I did was join an accountability group. This was a group of new and intermediate marketers that I had never met. A friend had suggested I join a forum about internet marketing and web development and taking that advice I joined a forum.

Join a Group and Hold Others Accountable

This was very easy to take action advice. Ill be very transparent that this was one of the biggest success factors that I found working online. Having the power to hold my peers accountable made me appreciate my own workload and to do list.

The rules of the group were pretty simple, we had to meet up online every Tuesday night (for me it was Wednesday morning Im from the future) and present our weekly target list and if we had completed last weeks target list. I got a few comments in my first three meetings for not taking it serious and for not doing the work.

I will say when you get into the routine and prep before hand it is really entertaining to hear how people are doing and the success they are having. It all fell on two things.

1 Planning your week

2 Doing the work

Its that simple, the accountability group members that planned ahead of time were the most successful. The group members that were doing what they had planned were also the same ones who were planning ahead and seeing amazing results.

I’m still in touch to this day with 5 of the 15 from the group. They all have very successful bsuinesses and our timezones are a little more accommodating for the 5 of us.

Once I was on the spot in front of the groupo saying I had 3 thing sto do that would literally take me all of 20 minutes to complete it was clear to everyone I was not planning ahead and just rocking up hoping for it all to work. The advice and telling off I got from the group was great and look no one wants to be told they are slacking off but it was so true I was.

The moment I would prep my week or month in advance and track it using teh tools and standard operating procedures or SOP’s I would see gains on earnings, rankings and visitors on my sites.

Find an accountability group and stick it out. Even if you only take away the behaviours of those getting the results that should be enough to light a fire under your chair and get you working smarter and getting the results you want to change your lifestyle for the better.

What Tools Helped Me Stay On Top Of My ToDo List

I had notebooks and notebooks of ideas, plans, processes and diagrams that I could never find or organise. I knew that I had to take the ideas out of my head and to put them online and for years I bounced between Asana and Trello and also notekeeping with Notion and evernote without finding the one todo tool to rule them all.

The Tools

  1. Asana
  2. Trello
  3. Notion
  4. More recently ClickUp

I want to say that its important that you dont get caught up in the tools. These are just tools and not going to do the work for you.

Special mention to ClickUp this tool has changed the game for me with its amazing feature set. Ive moved over to it in January 2020 and its saved me HOURS!

Know your Strengths and Weaknesses

Ive always been very self aware and thats been a big strength for me working in teams or alone I knew my limits and my absolute strengths. I know that accountability and doing everything I said that I would was one area I was slipping. Not in my personal life just my own affiliate marketing work, I would buy these domains with the intention to domainate a market and I would get as far as buying teh domain name before I would move on to something else.

How Accountability Helps You Get Success:

It gives you a heads up on the bumps in the road ahead, especially if your networking with others in similar positions or journeys. You can learn from their mistakes to optimise your time and productivity.

It drives the resources you’ll require because of the shared knowledge. One really cool thing that I got from my accountability group was sharing resources with some other group memmbers. We pooled our budgets that we had set aside for virtual assistants and would use the same VA for our work meaning we would all pay a third of his day rate cost. This saved us money and allowed us to collaborate across projects.

We would share other tools later in our online journeys making the group a real valuable asset for me to really learn and absorb from everyone who was involved.

You come up against a lot of challenges in the online space. Technical or skill related and they can stall your growth until you figure them out. But having a accountability group also doubled as a knowledge share group as well. It was very clear who the operator’s were in that group and how they behaved when problem solving changed my view of the word “I Can’t”. I would listen to those guys talk about overcoming challenges and be in absolute awe. They became my motivators because I didnt want to be that guy in our group who couldnt figure out how to set up his website. I wanted to be an operator.

How do you figure it out for yourself?

You could try and guess or think that you already know and commit to what you already know.

I would scratch your own self assesment and create a little sheet to assess yourself.

  • First up list out everything that you love doing
  • List down the thing that makes you the happiest in thsi line of work
  • What gives you headaches?
  • What do you really hate doing?
  • Does money motivate you?
  • Does accomplishment motivate you?
  • How do you work alone?
  • How do you work in teams?
  • What do you do when you make a mistake?
  • What do you do when a team mate messes up?
  • What do you do when you encounter a problem?
  • What do you do when a team mate has a problem and asks for help?
  • Ask a friend if you need to (thats cool as well)

You should have a list of things you like doing and really enjoy and a list of things you dont really enjoy and some of your own characteristics.

Take the time to do this before you decide to woerk in a team if you have never worked with a remote team before, and also if you are starting a new business or affiliate business work out your style and how you work best.

This is one of the biggest factors in helping me get over a earning limit because I could be held accountable.

How To Sell Products While In Lockdown

How To Sell Products While In Lockdown

Being in lockdown is tough the isolation and confinment can get to you. That good news is that everyone else is feeling just like you. Theres all these people stuck at home with nowhere to be and noo where to go.

My focus for the last 7 days has been to jump on opportunity.

“My team and I have been researching products and marketplaces that you can “buy low, sell high.”

I’ve spent the last week scanning the usual suspects trying to understand market demand for this current moment. It was a painstaking task but very important.

My Research Grounds:

  • Marketplaces
  • Amazon
  • Ebay
  • AliExpress
  • Pinterest
  • Facebook Marketplace
  • Empire Flippers
  • Flippa
  • Gumtree
  • Other domain sales platforms

My research produced some really good results and I want to share some of what I found with you here today. Ive found a lot of business categories where you can buy businesses at an all time low. I know this may sound like the behaviour of a vulture but its just business.

I’ve been pretty keen to shift non essential tasks and projects to the side so that I could dig my teeth into the shift in the market. Theres something unusual and almost once in a lifetime happening right now. I know Ive not been through any other world changing event to the scale of this corona virus.

My thoughts originally were to use this for my own portfoilios benefiet but then its better to share so we all get a slice of that cheese. I know a lot of people are in struggletown with businesses collappsing and money running dry.

>> See post about building a resilient business.

There is a huge shift in how people are using online search now and the daily habits of each user. This is new territory for all of us especially online marketers. Ive seen some crazy stuff growing in popularity and search interest thanks to Google trends. At times like this its important to keep your head on the swivel.

Below I will list what Ive seen and what you can use to sell more while isolated at home.

If you are looking for something to do in quarantine that can make you online money…

Or if you are stuck inside looking for a new side hustle that will make you teh money you want for your next project this is for you…

Or like millions of people and my girlfriend you just got laid off and you need something right now to keep the lights on…

Then I can help you with a strategy thats stood the test of time the “buy low, sell high” tactic will give you some ideas that start you on your online journey.

Here are 3 things that people are flipping right now for fun and profit:

1. Trading Cards.

In my younger years collecting and trading NBA basketball cards was my addiction. Collecting all the rookie cards of the big players took most of my after hours time when I wasnt actually playing ball.

But the unique situation we are in is that all major sports leagues are in exile sadly. So what type of trading cards can be used in this corona virus time? Suprisingly still sporting cards and battle cards.

Most sporting team cards are still growing in popularity the weird thing is with the seasons suspended these leagues are still growing in populaity. There are millions of people at home and what do you think the TV networks are doing? they are showing replays and sports from the past. This is what is helping propell the rising interest in these trading cards.

>> Buy Michael Jordans 20k pointc club card on Ebay.

Michael Jordans rookie basketball card

Ive never been a magic cards collecter guy, Ive got friends who are huge dungeons and dragons nerds, White Dwarf and Magic The Gathering card collectors. These card collections are exploding right now so how can you pivot to include trading cards in yoru product sales? can you make a set of cards on your industry.

I’m seeing huge popularity spikes in this niche. Think of all the dads stuck at home and the lack of live sport on TV, and then think what is one really great way for parents to bond with their kids? sports of course. With the parents and kids at home trading cards with popular sporting stars is one sure fire way to strengthen a bond by using sports trading cards. Kids also love those battle cards and using pwoerups and level up type cards, this is like old school pokemon but with cards.

PLUS… due to the economic slowdown, a lot of collectors are strapped for cash, which means that you can “buy low” right now. This is a perfect product for our buy low sell high strategy.

Proof is in the search results:

NBA trading cards

Just look at those prices for a basketball card. Crazy money for a trading card.

Trading card money is made in two ways:

This niche is one for collectors so finding and collecting full sets is a valuable focus and also finding those rare cards, limited print cards and the big stars rookie cards.

Another tactic is a little more of a gamble but buying stars that are about to rise as as valuable or popular players. This can be a little harder in oru current now because the players are sidelined. But there is big money in flipping these cards much like stocks the players tsock value rises and falls as their performance reflects on impact.

2. Designer hand bags & Perfume.

Weirdly as we are all self isolating and social distancing so why would someone need a designer handbag it boggles the mind. I’m not a fancy guy I really enjoy thrifty shopping and functionality of clothing and accessories. My girlfriend HATES when I buy clothing and accessories based on functionality 😆.

Designer Handbags and Perfume are spiking to all time highs right now. Ive seen post after post after post around these items being hunted online. I get that all the stores that sell these are closed except pharmacies or chemists but they sell knock off garbage perfumes not designer.

When shoppers cant get hold of products they want that product goes into high demand. There are still a lot of people who have excess money that they want to offload and dont forget about people pre corona virus who were excessive shoppers who now have to commit to getting their retail therapy online.

With designer handbags and name brand perfumes being a huge interest all you need to do is know where to look to find these items at wholesale prices. There is so much fraud in the space that finding real, authentic fragrances can be a challenge so dont just go to AliExpress and get that channels perfume because its a knock off and can get you into all kinds of problems. This does present a real opportunity for selling the real brands and NOT cheap immitation handbags and fragrances.

My advice is to take 2 angles for this and present yourself as a wholesale buyer, liquidator and bulk buyer of goods and look for auctions, liquidations and wholesale places for opportunities. Most people who do this normally may be laid off or on leave.

The second angle is as a seller and store owner of a store that sells these things.

The overview of how this works:

  • Know where to look for these products
  • Know what brands are in demand
  • Buying at a low price
  • Know what marketplaces to be promoting that you have these products
  • Negotiating and promoting your webpages where you will sell these items
  • Sell product at a higher price than you paid for it

Some search terms you can optimise your web pages for:

  • Designer handbag
  • [name brand] handbag
  • Handbag [name brand]
  • [name brand] perfume
  • perfume [name brand]
  • buy [name brand] online

There are entire markets and buyer types to flip high end colognes, designer handbags and perfumes to. I am far from the target market so this niche was new for me to be diving into but the riches are in the niches and as far as I can tell this niche is ripe for the picking. There were so many people searching for and asking for these products that it would be hard not to make money if you have the actual products.

This right now presents a very rare opportunity for you to buy low priced items and sell high on your website to an already hungry to purchase audience.

THIS is a perfect product for our tactic of buying low and selling high. I hope you can start to see the shift in perspective of how Im looking at the markets now.

This bag is a Christian Dior designer handbag that retails for $6,462 see actual handbag here.

3. Buying Businesses and Websites.

I love domain flipping and business flips. These have been a huge part of my income over the last 3 years. In a nutshell I buy a website or business at a low investment price and perfrom some work to these websites using my onlien marketing skills to create a website that now functions as a high converting store or lead generating website.

>> If you want to work with me on a website or business you own contact me here.

This is the perfect time to start looking for investment opportunities. A lot of businesses have closed or are closing their business down. There are also a lot of websites that people who used to have employment that no longer do and c an not sustain teh fees for running and managing websites. This is a sad reality of what this virus has done to the economy.

I would look at Flippa, Gumtree, Shopify Exchange or FE International and look for businesses for sale. The filters will help you navigate to the most relevant opportunities for you. I set filters ranging from $3,000-120,000 so I have a range of business types.

Now this is a longer play and not a buy today and flip tomorrow unless you work very fast. This takes me riughly 2-4 months to get my hands on teh new purchase and make some cosmetic edits and some backend changes to get that site healthy and looking good. I also like to track activity on teh front end of the website buy adding Google Analytics and reviewing any affiliate programs, ecommerce settings or existing CRM type sale systems.

My process revolves around taking something that is not working for someone else and refining what they have on the front end. It needs to look nice for people using the website. I like to then focus on backend adjustments to make sure the website is Google friendly and in good health. Once Ive done these two steps my entire focus on the UX and conversion rates of the website.

When I am happy with the data I have and the visitor engagement is looking healthy I will start to get the site ready to flip for a much bigger payday.

This is my 3 tips for selling online while locked down and self isolating but still making money. I use the buy low and sell high method in dropshipping and site flipping all the time and its made me a lot of money 💰💰

I’m focused on businesses that are fun to build, regardless of what the economy is doing.

Ill be setting up a mini course on how I do this so people can see the step by step process to take control of their lifestyle and finances. Stay Tuned. If you want to do this on your own, you can totally do that too.

Take note take action and take advantage of the market. If you liked this drop a comment, share it or show me your results in a month or two ✌️.

How To Build A Resilient Business

Make Immediate Changes To Your Business To Stay In Business.

The world is under some intense pressure to conform right now.

This had me worried about my network of friends and collegues and how they were coping with the worldwide problem right now. So I asked in one of my groups how people were pivoting and gave an example of what I had done in my agency to adapt.

============================

Have you done anything different in your business thanks to the virus just to keep afloat?
I’ll share some of the planning and changes I’ve made that hasn’t resulted in being in damage control. I believe cash is the biggest positive to have in a crisis. A big focus was cutting wasted spend.
Week 1 – reduced and negotiated all software expenses, insurance and anything that was on the expenses list. Got this list as lean as possible
In the war room identified stages of escalation. Lose 10% revenue what do we do. Lose 20% revenue now what and do on.
Forecasted how much $ we needed to get through 3 months and then 6 months.
No clients paused or cancelled
8 new clients 2 upsells
Week 2 – cut all R&D projects. Identified team members who were low impact vs the expense to the business ( harsh but necessary), lower impact tasks pushed back so higher impact tasks can be delivered this gives value to clients in coming weeks.
Identified client issues, concerns and formed plans. Created company internal comms plan, created external comms plan.
Moved entire team to work from home.
A handful of pauses and 1 cancellation
5 new clients and approx 4 upsells
Week 3 – last week this was tough week.
Let go of 4 staff. 1 was performance problems 3 were to protect the business cash flow.
Parted ways with remote team HR company.
It’s still busy and lots of meetings and pitches taking place.
Another handful of pause requests and 4 cancellations.
2 new clients 4 upsells
this week – who knows I’ve heard the domestic boarders will shut on Tuesday meaning shit will hit the fan.
Still clients saying business as usual and a jewellery actually 2 of my jeweller clients have increased spend and added extra services so bizarre.
New prospect meetings this week approx 6
Upsells it’s not even Monday yet
============================
This is a pretty unique situation we are all in and the key is innovation and being the marketing leader your clients need you to be right now.
If you are a business make some pivots into new territory try new things and adapt as best you can.
Stay positive this is not the end of the world. There are some tactics that you can use to stay ahead.

Some businesses are getting CRUSHED right now and some are growing 🌱

I’ve been thinking constantly about what differentiates failing vs thriving businesses during this health crisis. What type of business can make it through this situation and what businesses are going to fail because the governing bodies have imposed very strict rules. By the time I publish this a lot of countries should be in various stages of lockdown.

These lockdowns are going to cripple economies. I agree to a small degree with Donald Trumps view of keeping the economy open, but the risk of death is just to great a downside. He is right that the impact of this on the economy will go on for years but that does not mean we should ignore human life just to keep the economy open for business.

My mind also went into overdrive with possible opportunities to pivot into. I honestly lost a lot of sleep thuinking about this and how I could help not just my own businesses but clients, friends and family.

One of my goto tactics is SEO. There is such a huge advantage you can have by knowing how to drive free traffic. I can still see a large volume of search trends with commercial intent and this is the plus side wth people stuch at home.

There has been some cancellation requests and pause requests. But speaking with them as business owner to business owner and going through what offensive and defensive strategies have they put in place it became really clear that they didnt have a plan. The bulk of the requests were from scared business owners who acted on what they read in the news.

My affilaite sites are going ok im down 40% and have 60% operating as normal or slightly up on previous months. My training consulting and digital info businesses are going good a slight spike in interest and signups so Im happy to see that part of the business staying stable.

People have been asking about new courses and where they can learn specific skills and thats been great Ive been able to direct people to my network for some specific trainings. When there is not much else on and people are stuck at home learning new skills is a big plus for everyone.

So, from a Client SEO standpoint, I would be looking at focusing my sales on businesses that are not hurt or not hurt as much by this situation. This shift is one way you can stay in business.

If we narrow our search down to home services, then we want to look at services that are not option/urgent/emergency…

My roof was about to collapse last week the nails of the timber beans were coming through my ceiling. I called the local roofing company that built my house and they came out ASAP because they didnt have much work going.

They came over and in 48 hours I had a safe to live in house and my roof was supported and ready for me to come back to live in my home. This also generated work for a painter as the roofer guys made a mess of the celing.

People will still have emergency work that needs doing, there are more people at home and more chance that something breaks and they need ASAP! emergency assistance.

These local service type businesses may be quiet but the customer service they can deliver now is there chance to build a stable book of loyal customers because they can act faster and do a better job. They wont have to shuffle appointment times, or use junior tradies to do the work or rush off to the next job. If you get what Im saying.

That said, there are plenty of business that are aggressively hiring right now! I let go of some very talented employees and was able to move them into new employment from people in my network.

I want to highlight that I was taking action on this the moment I heard rumours around lockdowns, travel bans and the words epidemic. Those actions mean problems for businesses. You may read above my week by week action plan and think I was a bit quick to let people go. My businesses move very fast and in a situation like this I want to be ahead of the curve and proactive. Letting go of employees hurts but when teh smoke clears those people except the one with performance issues will be contacted to rejoin the company.

This right now is the perfect time for your employees to be upskilling themselves. I know that when the smoke clears there will be some extraordinary talent available for hire meaning that the skill and talent of your team can be uplifted by some smart talent hiring with the people who will be on the market for employment.

LEARN: Here is a quick course I created on how to make money online with different pathways depending on your interests and skillset.

You just need to buy more time to hold out until there is a cure and the lockdowns pass.

What Changes Can You Make In Your Business Right Now?

1 Finances

Have a real look at what can be cancelled, reduced and negotiated down in price. Your expenses should be as lean as possible. If you don’t really need it to do business cut it right now.

These are some questions I raised with my team:

  • What can you cancel?
  • What can you defer payments on?
  • What can you negotiate down in cost?
  • What can you use as needed and not subscription?
  • What can you share costs with someone else?

2 Redundency

Staying on finances here look at your salaries and contractor expenses. It might be good to get your operations or managerial team together and do a head count of your team. I found this less difficult than I first thought, my leadership team and I all agreed to remove emotion fro our choices and only hard data.

How we assessed this was by asking these questions:

  • What does this person do?
  • How much impact do they have on client performance?
  • How have they performed this year?
  • How many mistakes have been reported?
  • How much are they paid?
  • Can we operate without them?

This can be confronting but when it means letting go of all of your employees or letting go of 2 or 3 of the lowest performers the choice as a business is sad 😥 but logical.

3 Leadership

Now more than ever its critical for you to be a leader if you own the business, if you are management you need to keep your cool and be someone that your team can go to for guidance.

At the end of the day you are teh future of teh business. If you can guide the company in teh right direction you will have the undying support of your team no matter what. If you are eratic and start crashing into obstacle after obstacle I urgently suggest you reach out to a business consultant and get help.

If you or your management team are flustered the team will fall apart. No doubt about it, strong leadership can get the team through anything.

4 Professional Consulting

This is optional but if you are not a finance whiz or HR law professional or other issues related to your business right now hire someone who is a pro at these things.

This does not mean you are a failure it just gives you support in what is a very unique time. I have finance consultants and have formed a network of agency owners where we have been sharing our plans, our losses and any wins. This has been great for my confidence and understanding of just how prepared I really am for this wave of insanity.

Protecting your business is just as important as protecting your money. If this happens again I would be getting a finance consultant in earlier to help me be even more prepared.

5 The Offense and Defense Strategy

This might sound like a sports strategy but it works. If you can break down your defense tactics and your offense tactic you start to have a clear plan of what to do.

There is a lot of action you can take to get your business in the best possible position it can be for the upcoming market nosedive. Ive made a lot of changes to allow my agency and other businesses to function throughout the next 12 months without having to worry too much about cashflow.

 Offensive Strategy

  • Get positive messaging out on your blog and in email sequences
  • Clear communication with employees
  • Help employees prepare for the worst
  • Help employees get their home finances in place.
  • Clear communication for clients
  • Clear communication to contractors and partners
  • Be smart about where your Ad spend is going (CPC is lower now)
  • Partner up with other businesses, share costs
  • Give something of value away for free
  • Use or start using affiliates to help you sell more
  • Offer coupons, gift cards anything buy now or payment instalment.

Defensive Strategy

  • Get cash in the accounts
  • Cut the expenses
  • Reduce Ad spend
  • Negotiate payment terms with vendors
  • Freeze hiring, bonuses, raises
  • Review employees for keep, go on leave, let go
  • Pause all contractors who are non essential
  • Employees work from home (during the virus containment period).
  • Review all marketing campaigns so your messaging is not offensive or in poor taste

These 5 strategies can help change your business for teh long term. If we recover from this corona virus and in 5 months we get hit with a new strain of virus at the very least you will be in much better position.

The biggest problem businesses face that I can see if the uncertainty of when this will be over. This is influencing peoples buying behaviour, all you need to do is look at the toilet paper craze and how preppers are snatching all the poo tickets up.

Sidenote: I actually thought throughout this whole toilet paper buying craze that one of teh main manufacturers had done some wild viral marketing and thats how this wave of bulk buying started. I was looking for any tell tale signs that someone created the need for bulk buying toilet rolls.

I have not found anything that can confirm this.

GroovePages Review Full Funnel & Page Builder Software

GroovePages Review Full Funnel & Page Builder Software

In this GroovePages review, you’ll learn everything about GroovePages, GrooveFunnels and the difference between GrooveApps and GrooveKart.

Got confused by all the “Groove“?

So was I went tried to get an overview of all the different products and services from GrooveDigital trying to make sense of the GroovePages pricing, their special lifetime offer and all those apps.

When Mike Filsaime told me he left Kartra and started to create a competing product I was surprised.

However, he convinced me and many of my current subscribers to give GroovePages a try and become a beta tester.

What I found out is that this could be the opportunity of a lifetime, especially if you compare the pricing of GroovePages to other funnel builders like Clickfunnels, Kartra or Kajabi. But first of all, let us answer the following question:

Contents

What Is GroovePages and GrooveFunnels?

Groove Funnels is a suite of software applications to build sales funnels and websites developed Groove Digital, which consists of the landing page builder GroovePages, the shopping cart GrooveSell, the email service provider GrooveMail along with other software for selling digital and physical products online.

GrooveFunnels.com is currently called GrooveApps.com but the name will be changed when GrooveFunnels will officially launch.

This suite of apps is developed by Groove Digital Inc which first entered to online marketing world with their eCommerce solution GrooveKart which competes with Shopify.

What’s the difference between GrooveKart vs GrooveFunnels and GroovePages?

GroovePages is part of an all-inclusive, email marketing, list building, web-hosting, business management platform designed to run your entire business! It will connect everything in a single account for you to manage.

Play this video below!

There is a close similarity in the naming conventions that is not immediately clear. Many people get confused about the differences between the different software apps.

The full suite of GrooveApps follows a similar sound like GroovePages, GrooveMail, GrooveBlogs etc.

I stumbled across GroovePages somehow and immediately took notice. A one time fee for more features than what my ClickFunnels account had and the winner UNLIMITED domains. I was all in. The sales page didnt sell it enough, logging in for the first time I could see the value right then and there how easy my online marketing was going to be from here on out.

Shen Zu

Right now, the GrooveApps is still in beta and closed to the public.

However, affiliates like me are still able to provide early access to the software for a lifetime price.

Groove Pages Pricing

To finance the project and get immediate customer feedback Mike Filsaime and the team behind GrooveDigital decided to launch it via a Kickstarter campaign (They decided not to run this on Kickstarter but their own platform)

GroovePages Lifetime Deal — How much is Groove Pages?

The Lifetime Deal which includes the GroovePages Funnel Builder and GrooveSell costs $497.

GroovePages OTO

This is followed by an upsell to get access to the complete software suite for two additional payments of $497.

The Package

If you purchase today you will get an email like the one below telling exactly what you have access to and what is in development and expected release dates. The prices might seem high now but when you add up the monthly subscriptions of ALL of your other softwares I think you will agree this small one time outlay will save you thousands in the long run.

What will the price of GrooveFunnels be if I wait?

If you don’t take this insane one time payment option it will be moving to $199 per month. Less for an annual subscription but still way more than the one time price. It’ll be Monthly or Annual recurring. Pledge as a backer & pay only $497 One-Time and never make a payment again for the rest of your life.

GroovePages Bonus

If you read this GroovePages review and decide the software is right for you there is a lot more instore for you. You get to join a community of likelminded business owners and access to ALL future integrations and Apps that the GrooveApps team develop. Im up to date with the changelogs and developer notes and this SaaS tool is developing at a rapid rate.

As a online marketer, I’m confident that you really want to create fast conversion friendly and websites and easy to implement sales funnels.

Ultimately, what you want is to make funnel building an easy to do sales activity.

In the past, you’ve experienced failure because people like Russel Brunson make it sound so easy.

In fact, if you’re like most people, you’re frightened of wasting a ton of time and money (like you have been) on outdated and buggy technology like Clickfunnels.

The issue may not actually be you because the people who’ve been teaching you actually charge way too much.

After all that, here’s something that may shock you…

The truth is, what’s really holding you back here is you don’t want to commit to paying $297 every month (=$3564/year) for the full suite of ClickFunnels or $197 per month to get unlimited access to Kartra.

Which means, the real problem here is it’s hard to make a profit if you are paying hundreds of dollars for your software stack.

However, the great news for you is I’m recently interviewed 40+ amazing entrepreneurs, two-comma club winners, and millionaires what it really takes to succeed online. People like Mike Filsaime, Jim Edwards, AJ Roberts, John Lee Dumas and many more.

If you sign up for GroovePages with my affiliate link you get access to a red hot contender for the name Best funnel building software. This platform is developing more and more features every week. ClickFunnels development doesnt move like this and if you want to suggest features it has to go through a vetting process where the GroovePages development team are in the Facebook group and watching the feature suggest list and actively implementing changes.

So If you are thinking about signing up for Groovepages because it’s the right choice you’ll find no better bonus than this one.

Demo of the GroovePages Funnel Building Software

Before I go on I want to show you a walkthrough of the software and what it looks like on the backend.

Pretty cool right? I love it and it only gets better.

What is GroovePages and why is this called GroovePages 2.0?

GroovePages is a cutting-edge landing page, website & funnel builder. The version 1 platform didnt have the focus behind that v2 does.

GroovePages vs Clickfunnels

GroovePages is using a progressive JavaScript framework called VUE:JS which means it’s much less limited than its competitors.

ClickFunnels is powered by Ruby on Rails an older codebase.

What makes this page builder different from Kartra of Clickfunnels is that the code is mostly loaded on the browser and does not make requests to a database. This means your website will load much faster. Most landing page builders use a technology called Bootstrap, an older codebase that is not in comparision to todays available options.

ClickFunnels limits your subscription to set number of domains and set actions and features. GroovePages does not you have unlimited everything when you purchase.

ClickFunnels support is helpful and I would rate GrooveApps support on par with ClickFunnels platform support.

ClickFunnels template library is very “templatey” feeling. GroovePages templates are more fluid in what they look like.

GroovePages is just coming out of beta testing for a full public launch and already has equal if not surpassed ClickFunnels in software features and they still have not rolled out all of the apps.

Lets look at that a bit closer and see what you get today and what is coming up.

GroovePages Features Review:

  • Expertly Designed Templates
  • Blocks
  • Pixel Perfect and Font Perfect Landing Pages
  • A/B Testing
  • Countdown Timers
  • Access to Royalty Free Images
  • and much more to create sales funnels, webinar funnels and stunning branded websites

How will hosting & publishing work on GroovePages?

You’ll get free hosting with USERNAME.GroovePages.com or Unlimited Custom Domains (CNAME Masking,) as well as FTP to your server, and can even download all your files for to create a backup.

Websites build on GroovePages will load lightning fast because they’re just loading html.

Because Groove Pages is hosted on the Google’s cloud platform this means even faster loading speeds.

After using the software for a few test projects, I have to say I really like it. Currently, they are pushing feature after feature to get ready for the official launch.

How will my websites be rendered on GroovePages?

All pages will be rendered html when you add them live. There won’t be calls to their database because they found that to be an issue with many of the leading builders like Kartra or Clickfunnels. These landing page builders need to call to a database to load all elements and this prevents your website from loading faster because it really slows the servers.

What Are These Other Apps and What Do They Do?

What is GrooveSell?

GrooveSell Logo

Groove Sell is a shopping cart platform like SamCart or PayKickStart.

It allows you to sell digital products, e-courses, and digital services.

It’s the perfect solution for

  • Infopreneurs, Thought Leaders,
  • Passion Project Experts,
  • Coaches,
  • Consultants,

  • speakers,
  • authors, etc.

Groovesell includes and affiliate management platform that allows you to also have the most robust affiliate system on the market, along with reporting and analytics, 1-Click upsells and everything you need to run your online business.

GrooveMail

 GrooveMail app loogo

Imagine Clickfunnels Actionetics platform or ActiveCampagin integrated into one system. If you prefer to stick to your current email service provider Mike Filsaime announced that GrooveFunnels will integrate with about 15+ email platforms as well.

GrooveMember

A membership CMS management system for a simple digital course with different levels of access, Drip content, etc, It will not have things like Gamification and certification at the start, Maybe later. Maybe not. We will integrate with every other knows platform on the market if enterprise needs are needed.

GrooveWebinars (Or WebinarGroove)

WebinarGroove app logo

The official name still not final. Originally the launch of GrooveWebinars was slated for Sept 1 2020 and GrooveMember and Groove Video were slated for 2021.

However, after a poll in the GrooveDigital Facebook group, the  groupmembers and people who paid to back the project or become a beta tester wanted the option to create a membership for online courses and host their video first.

Right now, GrooveWebinar this is likely to be done January 2021. Mike Filsaime announced that the webinar software it is about 70% complete but put on pause to develop the following Groove Products

  • MAIL,
  • MEMBER,
  • and VIDEO

Other GrooveProducts

GrooveVideo

GrooveBlogs

GrooveMember

GrooveCalendar

GrooveHelpdesk

GrooveMarketplace — A peer-to-peer place to sell templates and addons and plugins developed for GrooveFunnels.

GrooveAcademy — The one stop shop for all training on the GrooveApps platform suite and for action tips that will help users get the most from each app.

GrooveAPS — OPEN API for developers like the Shopify marketplace.

feedback.grooveaps.com is a place to leave feature requests. (Groovekart is at groovekart.canny.io)

And the Groove Support desk.

A place to get support for Groove Funnels.

Products that don’t belong to GrooveFunnels (GrooveApps)

GrooveKart

GrooveKart Is a stand-alone eCommerce platform with state of the art premium features not available in other eCommerce platforms such as Shopify. GrooveKart is a direct competition to Shopify and comes with built-in apps that other competitors require shop owners to pay. It comes with high converting templates, scarcity, timers, layer app, reviews, upsells, down sell, retargeting, bumps and many more features.

With GrooveKart you can sell physical products using different sizes and colors, create several categories for various sub-niches. It comes with powerful reporting tools and analytics, shipping features, one-click product transfer, a built-in support desk and much more.

With the 1-click import feature, you can switch from your Shopify store in seconds

Do the original GrooveKart Customers get access to Groove Pages/ Groove Funnels?

When the company launched they were Groovekart. Later they made an offer to GrooveKart customers to get GroovePages for life for $497.

The upsell for that was 2 additional payments for $497 for the groove funnels suite. GrooveSell, Groovemail , member , video etc.

So anyone that paid for that under the “backer” offer or “beta” offer would get those items they paid for.

But purchasing GrooveKart does not give you access to GroovePages or any product on GrooveFunnels.

ReviewTrust.

ReviewTrust is a company that was recently acquired by GrooveDigital. and will be added GrooveKart and GrooveSell and will be back live in April 2020.

FreePageBuilder (formerly GroovePages 1.0)

The team of GrooveDigital spent more than $100,000 to develop a tool that is now FreePageBuilder but this project was our deprecated. Unlike GroovePages with is build on a new mobile-friendly development framework FreePageBuilder uses an older technology that is similar to Karta’s Page Builder.

After being two years in development the “GrovePages 1.0”  was scrapped for new Groovepages 2.0 which is a complete new software and the code was written from the ground up.

So instead of trashing the code from GroovePages 1.0, the team decided to rebrand the Landing Page Builder and made it free to the world.

FreePageBuilder will be going live in a few weeks and everyone how became a backer of GroovePages got free access.

Currently, FreePage Builder is not available because they don’t want to confuse the marketplace FreePageBuilder will we launch after GrooveFunnels this will go live to the public.

And for a $5000 Minimum, this agency will build your funnels, write your sales copy, and create your email sequences. (That’s a damn good employee for $5k a month that’s also doing your ads.)

Together this team has a vision and the know-how to exceed the closest competitors like Kartra or Clickfunnels.  If someone can have success these four will, as they’ve again & again over recent years.

The Vision Of Groove Digitial

“We want to create THE Most Powerful, THE Most affordable, and THE Easiest to Use Software Platforms for eCommerce and Digital Marketers.”

Mike Filsaime

Will There Be White Labeling for GroovePages?

The short answer is no. You need to be a major influencer with a brand. Otherwise, you will be happy with their affiliate network.

Can I Use GrooveFunnels If I’m An Agency?

Although GroovePages provides unlimited domains with this backer project and won’t later, this is for One Family or Business. No exceptions.

However, if you are an agency GrooveDigital will work with you.

They have not decided on a price for Agencies that are Backers of the LIFETIME.

If you’re interested, purchase now and then put a help desk ticket I when they launch officially.

Will there be API, Zapier & IPN Notifications?

GrooveFunnels will integrate with all major email service providers like MailChimp, Aweber, InfusionSoft, ActiveCampaign, Campaign Monitor as well as popular webinar softwares like WebinarJam, EverWebinar, GotoWebinar and many more.

As well they will have Zapier and a full open and robust API as well as an IPN (Instant Payment Notification) System.

Is GroovePages Right for Me?

In a nutshell, GroovePages software makes it simple to easily create high converting seo-friendly websites and sales funnels

GroovePages, provided by GrooveDigital, is all-in-one software suite that will replace clickfunnels or Kartra

You want this because Clickfunnels and Kartra will become outdated soon because they are building on old technology. At some point, you want to make the switch to GroovePages anyway and then you will pay more for less.

GroovePages is the Fastest Landing & Funnel Page Builder

The big payoff: It’s build on the progressive JavaScript Framework VUE.JS which allows you to create sales funnels and websites in an easier and more efficient manner with better results.

What makes the GroovePages Deal special as opposed to other funnel builders (even the most expensive options) is you absolutely don’t need to pay for any additional software whatsoever again to run your entire business.

GroovePages OTO and LifeTime Deal

Seriously, never pay for an email service provider or a software like WebinarJam ever again.

Something really helpful GroovePages does that you might not recognize at first is It is much faster than anything else I’ve ever tried.

They are just starting out but given their lightning-fast speed of implementation and having a CEO that helped to jumpstart Clickfunnels, this is a no-brainer.

By the way, GroovePages is not for anyone who wants ALL in one solution that works RIGHT now.

At this point in time, you’ll only get the LandingPage and Funnelbuilder along with GrooveSell. But think of it like this, they are developing this platform to be THE BEST funnel building and ecommerce software available online.

GroovePages can be a long term investment. People who purchased the lifetime payment deal for ClickFunnels are a very rare few that still have those legacy accounts and now you are presented with a very similar offer. Save money right now and get your own GroovePages account.

If you need more than a landing page builder right away try Kartra, instead and replace it step by step with GrooveFunnels. (Just like Mike Filsaime does himself)

GroovePages is for every online entrepreneur that wants early access to a premium software like Clickfunnels, Kajabi or Kartra but wants to avoid the hefty monthly or annual fees in the upcoming years.

Now, nothing’s perfect and I do want to remind you that GroovePages is still in beta, that’s why you are getting this lifetime insane deal.

From my perspective, that’s not a big deal because you either have a website and sales funnel right now, that you can replace step by step with GrooveFunnels and save thousands of dollars…

Or you are still in the startup phase and don’t need all the bells and whistles that will GrooveFunnels will have in a couple of months.

Either way.

GroovePages Is An Investment

GroovePages is a great investment. Later you will pay more for less.

I love to have this software in my arsenal.

The cost is $497 lifetime and if you want full access to GrooveFunnels it will be two additional payments of $497.

When you compare this to Clickfunnels, you can choose to pay $3564 for Clickfunnels every year and still will not get half of what GrooveFunnels will offer in the next 12 months.

Get GrooveFunnels today because this lifetime deal will not be available any longer when GroovePages moves out of beta and you’ll have to pay monthly fees as you do for Clickfunnels or Kartra.

Why You Should Be Setting Goals

Why You Should Be Setting Goals

Setting Goals is Your Big Picture Plan

You SHOULD be setting business goals for success

Are you setting the wrong type of goals?
Goal setting is one of the most underrated activities that you can do to grow your business. My partner and I take an annual retreat to Bali Indonesia at the end of each year to unwind and recharge for the year ahead. Here in this tropical paradise we will schedule a morning where we will focus on our goals. This is one of our fav activities we do together.

In our couples focus goals session we will cover the following:
1 Couple goals > how are we doing as a loving couple, are we having enough date nights, do we give each other enough attention.
2 House goals > we are saving to buy a block of land and build a home that has everything we need as very tall people
3 Finance goals > are we tracking on target for savings, do we have good money management and where are we wasting 💰
4 Family goals > are we seeing each of our families enough, are we being great family members, do we contribute.
5 Work goals > we want to be seen as professionals in our fields, are we being successful, do we get satisfaction from this
6 Business goals > we focus on our business ventures, results, new things, money and satisfaction

7 Individual project goals > we both have individual projects we work on and we update our goals for these and share with each other what we want to achieve this coming year.

You can do your own goals session but this is what we do every year to align ourselves as a team, as a couple and as business owners. You don’t need to wait a year to do this or visit a tropical island. You can do it anytime you want to and where ever you want to. Thats the beauty of owning an online business.

For this post we will focus more on the business goals and finance related goals.

What would you say looks more attractive to you?

Making $10,000 per month or making 3 sales per day?

Most people would say $10k monthly is the best option. But why do you think that is? well lets say that 3 sales sounds like 3 small sales, and $10k monthly sounds like a lot of sales and is a decent return.

Now you have $10k in mind as a goal, let’s run with $10k as one of your goals. Now how will you get that $10k? do you have a plan? break it down and tell me what you would do step by step to get there. In my consulting calls when I ask these questions I don’t hear very clear steps from the person Im speaking to. The most common answer is “Ill run ads to get the sales and thats how ill get to $10k mo”.

Im very scared for the success of the person when I hear this. I need to know that the plan is in place and often it is not and the person has a very clear vision of $10k a month but no clear plan how to get there.

Here are some guiding questions to help you define the steps:
Q1 > How much are you selling your product or service for?
Q2 > What are your margins from cost to sale?
Q3 > How much are you prepared to spend on Ads to get a sale?
Q4 > Are you using the best product or service as the focus sale?

Why i would ask these questions is because when you break it down it can be A LOT of work that you are doing instead of looking at the path that is most rewarding. The plan can help you get to the goal, if you chunk it down you can get to each milestone of your goal much easier. While it’s good to have the $ figure in mind, sometimes it’s a LOT easier to think of the number of sales that get you there.

What value is there for a customer to buy with you instead of Amazon or Target? If you can answer this then 5 points to you. If you stutter and fumble around for an answer you really need to work on your USP. That is your Unique Selling Position, why you are the go to for this product or service. Then I would ask you to know what your USP is and to review your page sales copy to see if your USP is reflected in the sales copy. Often I see direct copy and paste from a manufacturer or a catalogue 😥, PLEASE use unique and brand or USP focused sales copy. This will directly increase your sales because you went the extra step and created sales copy that speaks about your brand and your USP.

Here are some real world examples

This is Donny’s Goal:
Your goal is to sell $10k of product You are selling a product that retails for $10  Each day you must sell 30-40 products per day to get to 90% of your target goal This is a grind and will be hard work Donny should increase the price of this product or use this an an upsell to a higher price target product where it is easier to sell higher priced items.Ultimately I would suggest Donny try and find a higher priced item he can sell to his audience.

This is Tara’s Goal: Your Goal is to sell $10k of product  You are selling a product that retails for $100  Each day you must sell 3 to 4 products to get 90% of your target goal This is an achievable goal.

Tara should include an upsell in the checkout that helps bump up the average order value.

With the above she is almost at her goal and just needs $1k to hit it where she can add a order bump product that will help her get that missing $1k.

What Steps Should You Take?

Here Are The Next Steps To Hit Your Goal

Now the steps to start getting those sales so you can get to your goal.
This is how you start getting traffic to your sales pages:

* Find your audience. Who has a problem you can solve with your product.
* Build your store/product list/sales pages.
* Build your audience by running Ads that gather the right data.
* Build your site out, use SEO to get your pages ranking organically.
* Plan your sales funnel, pricing and sequence of events.
* Build a sales funnel and pay for Ads to drive traffic to your pages.
* Reach out to people who need the solution.
* Make content, images and videos and demonstrate the solution.
* Leverage from others who have an audience.
* Supply and demand being the middle man/person.
* Nurtue your audience and bring people back to your sales pages

Maintain this approach to keep that sales cycle on repeat. THIS helps you get traction and moves you closer to that monthly goal of $10k. You might not get that in month 1-3 but stick with it and you will see results, even if you make $5k thats more than you had last month. Keep your work ethic up and that $5k  will grow in size month on month.

Why One of Your Goals Should Be Opportunity

Retailers are going under left right and centre due to a number of reasons and some of it is a lack of ability to adjust to the market. For people like us working online we move fast and adjust very quickly. Big brands are going down in value because the competition by the smaller to medium sized alternatives. Software and processes are always evolving making it cheaper for businesses to do things. This makes more competition, and being aware of these changes and having goals GIVES YOU THE POWER to make moves.

The moves you can make are seeing the gaps and taking action. Your goals should include a growth opportunity of some sort. The openings you see in the market are where you can make that small sprint towards your goal, lets say for example this very website is made with GroovePages a Click Funnels competitor

>> Get your Groove Pages lifetime deal here! <<

The market has been dominated by ClickFunnels for so long as they have GREAT marketing. The competitors only get any traction because ClickFunnels does not fulfil some function that the people not using ClickFunnels need.

You hear these stories every day. A new competitor has emerged and is getting new interest instead of the industry leading platform in the example here its Click funnels. There are a lot of people who really dislike Click Funnels because of the aggressive sales tactics and highly priced monthly fees for what they get.

Groove Pages is a direct competitor of Click Funnels and partly G Suite by Google. They created the platform to take back some of the market from Click Funnels and while they are just about out of beta testing phase they still have a pretty decent product. My site is 100% built in Groove Pages.

So how this plays onto goals and why it matters. Using opportunity as a goal to grow your business is a must. What Groove Pages did was to identify an opportunity where Click Funnels past users had complained about features and pricing. Now Groove Pages can slide into filling that gap in between what the users want and what the company was offering.

This has allowed Groove Pages to gain a lot of traction by offering a more well rounded tool suite and a one time price point of $497 with several upsells if you want to expand on what your standalone product can do. They are creating a full kit of apps to fit into Groove Pages like mail, videos, webinar, automations, affiliate manager, cart, meetings, calendars and way way more.

>> Get your Groove Pages lifetime deal here! <<

This gap in the marketplace has allowed them to start moving towards their opportunity goal. The only thing they needed was a shot, now they have the voice and can raise more people to try their product and sign on as paying customers. The founders have openly said that they wanted to create a long shot goal of being seen asa rival to Click Funnels and by making a superior product. I say well done chaps the beta rollout has been very exciting with so many apps added already.

This should serve as a warning that all you need is a shot. Business will remain the same but the players will adapt and change as trends hit the market. A hot tip from me is to find businesses so set in their ways that its almost impossible for them to pivot or adapt to change like Banks they are so shaken by crypto they dont know what to do although now they have solidified themselves it took almost 4 years for them to adapt.

“Opportunity is everywhere”.
To strengthen your position for growth in your business consider taking a deeper relationship with your customers. Get a deeper understanding of your market and its competitors especially those ones that are so small they are just making a mumur because as things become more available those are the ones that will be coming out of nowhere. Your clients can spend their money on anything and they will, but you need to be the one that has the advantage.

A goal I set for myself under my business objectives, is to make spending money with me more attractive to potential customers. I would rather they spend the money with me where I can write them a value packed email and enjoy them becoming a customer than with someone else. I think you would agree with me on this that the money is better in your pocket.

Look, there’s a tonne of ways to hit your $ goal but if you structure your goals and plan how you’re going to attack it then take MASSIVE action – you will do it! But make those goals easier to achieve by breaking them up into the number of sales it will take to get you there so it’s not as daunting or that out of reach feeling. Again, easier said than done but definitely possible if you put in the work 👌.🍻

Types of Blogs You Can Use and Best Use Case Examples

As affiliate marketers we make a lot of our money from review type content, but what else can you use to to make money on your blog. Let’s go through a few examples and how you can best use them.

Types of Blog Posts That You Can Use
1 The Review
2 The Controversial Post
3 The Behind the Scenes
4 The How-To Guide
5 The Personal Experience
6 The Seasonal Time Based Post
7 The Practical Motivation Post

8 The Listicle Roundup

My Types of Blog Post That Can Make You Money

Lets expand on each point listed here so you get a clear understanding of how important each one is and the best use case for them on your money webpages.

1 The Classic Review & Recommendation Article

The goal of these blog types is to build confidence in the product or service by reviewing what it has on offer, the features benefits and drawbacks. You can review or recommend ANYTHING there is no limit to how much to review or what you can review.

Works really well when you know people may be on the fence about shelling out if the sales page is a bit vague of detail. The opportunity is then showing the readers what it looks like when you get it when its a physical product. If it is software or digital based readers love to see what it looks like after you log in. You can then show them any really cool features or really crap features like freezes often or does not do what it said it would.

Best Use Case: ANYTHING

2 The Controversial Article

As people we love a little bit of drama to distract us. We enjoy it even more if it’s someone else’s drama and when theres a controversial headline, claim or statement we seem to pay close attention to it. The goal of these types of articles is to generate discussions and debates from people either for something or against this is no place for fence sitters.

How does this work?
It works by taking something or someone that has an audience or a following and writing about something that will get the followers attention or get the haters attention. Once you have the attention of either side the article will be shared and engaged with by members of one side of the statement, this will then get the attention of the people from the other side of the statement and a debate between the various standpoints or features takes place.

Example: Why I Think Google Sheets Is Superior to Microsoft Excel

In the above example Im calling out all the Microsoft excel fans and waving my opinion of how much better Google Sheets is as a tool. This will make excel fans want to state how bad my choice was and how inferior Google sheets is in comparison. But the Google sheets lovers will add their feelings about how amazing Google sheets is and why its better because of XYZ features.

Best Use Case: Promote only the strongest  offers in these articles. You need to be careful that this does not backfire in your face because of the opposing statements and left wing comments from the against camp.

My Secret Sauce Tip: Don’t promote any offer and use this article type to build your list and link in to your other pages that have offers for both of the products or services you wrote about in the controversial article.

Other examples might include
> Challenging popular opinions
> Sharing unpopular statements
> Highlighting shady or outdated industry practices
> Write about things that were hyped up but didnt actually work
> Write about changes you want made
> Write like your writing a letter to the person who peeved you off

3 The Behind The Scenes Post
I really enjoy these types of posts and think they really do grab your attention. When someone you follow online reveals more about their home life or gives you a tour of their office as an example you get drawn in because you want to know what is that persons life really like. We live in an age where AI, VR and a lot of special effects can be anywhere at any given moment so seeing some REAL behind the scenes stuff is highly entertaining.

Ive posted before about showing the storage containers for my ecommerce businesses and the packaging order process. I also showed what my studio looks like with all the mess of thousands of packets of product everywhere. The readers really enjoyed that article and the short video. This showed that I am an actual ecommerce store owner, I do order product and inventory and do have a storage facility. This works towards building more trust that I do what I say and am on the journey with the reader.

Best Use Case: Promoting training courses, masterminds and templates, how to guides.

Other Examples:
> Whats in your backpack
> Whats your phone look like
> Whats on your computer desktop/laptop screen
> What video/podcast recording gear do you use
> What does your garage look like
> What does your house look like
> Morning routines and rituals

4 The How-To Educational Guide Article
Another of my fav types of blog posts because they can really help people overcome obstacles. These are great for beginner audiences and medium level followings to get the roadmap to success or the final pat of the puzzle. This can also help you to generate really good case studies when the readers follow your steps and take action. You can promote more here because your audience is invested in learning and are hungry for information.

Best Use Case: Training, Masterminds, Guides, Templates, Scripts, Roadmaps and over the shoulder style offers.

5 The Personal Experience Article
You can really use this type of blog post to your advantage because its coming from YOU and YOU are putting your face behind something. There is no higher trust signal than YOU holding the new backpack you are promoting saying how amazing it was on your recent trip to the Gold Coast. People see YOU and they see the product in your hands meaning YOU actually used it and YOU give it a 5 star rating.

Best Use Case: Anything will work with this type of post because you used it, and you can show how it helped you.

6 The Seasonal Time Based Post
You need to be quite active online and have a good reading on your niche for this one to work well. Having your finger on the pulse of your niche can help you get a headstart on others. You want to be using time based or season based activities and events to base topics around them, Black Friday is the most obvious choice for online marketers as its a HUGE money grab.

I do like the year ahead predictions or looking back at the year reviews of what worked what didnt. These are really good for people following your journey and walking in your footsteps so you can make recommendations and lead into your review posts that then promote specific deals and offers.

If I was to use online marketing as an example the easiest wins for me would be keeping tabs on Google Updates and promoting software and tools to help manage this problem better or Facebooks ever changing algorithm would be an easy recommendation to join a specific training course or mastermind that deals primarily with Facebook Ads.

Best Use Case: Building a calendar of events, holiday and seasons that you can promote offers using one of them as the reason or feature topic of why you are promoting the offer.

Other Examples:
> Deals per season
> Viral trends and why these worked articles
> Holiday & Event based posts
> Year month week predictions
> Be the first to release industry news

7 The Practical Motivation Post

Good marketing is really just clever storytelling if we were to break it down to the nuts and bolts of it. These do work very well especially if you have got results doing it or using the system and what not. You can use long form when its a more personal recommendation, allowing you to build a story into the content to help get your reasons across.

If you have had anything inspire you, motivate you and just make your life easier then you can 100% promote it because it has helped you do something better. Mentally, physically and emotionally. These offers can get a lot of engagement especially from likeminded people in your audience.

Best Use Case: Promoting training courses and mastermind type offers.

8 The Listicle Roundup Article
This is a really good way to cover off multiple affiliate offers in one post but not come across to aggressive in your pitch. If every recommendation and listed item has an affiliate link listed it may be overbearing for readers.

You would gather up roughly 7-10 of the best things, things being products, services, tools basically anything and create a list. You then review your list to what makes the best sense to be 1, 2 and 3 and why you are promoting them first these are your main money makers. The listicle works really well and you can use a similar principle with roundups and summaries to make some offer promotions. The really nice thing about listicles is you can break them up very easily so readers can digest the parts that they want.

Best Use Case:  Top 10 VPNs, These 7 Email tools or We selected these 5 finance coaching programs can work wonders. Use good content and high quality images. Identify the ones that have the most brand name traffic or search volume and highest payout and you can use them as the ones that you use your affiliate link on.

My Secret Sauce Tip: Don’t link every listed item, only list the top 2 per category and only mention the brand name of the others with no link. Some companies have an SEO outreach team who monitors brand name mentions and may reach out to you to get a backlink listed. You can use this as an intro to people in that company or to get listed on the company website however you negotiate the deal.

Conclusion
Just having these different types of blogs wont be enough to make you money each blog still needs some basic SEO love. You will need to add some focus keywords and search intent analysis to get them ranking high enough for people to find and click on them.

I also suggest typing in similar topics, keywords and seeing what actually shows up first so you know the type of content to make and if you need more video content or meme based images. This really helps you know what is working and what people want to see. The best thing you can do is to get that posts live on your blog and come back and optimise them later. I do this on this blog and publish often with no images and then come back once Ive picked the images and decided where I want to internal link to so that the page makes sense and the layout is easy to read.

Pick some types of blogs write them out and make some money. Get those Click Bucks.

7 Tips To Sell More SEO Services

7 Tips To Sell More SEO Services

These Tactics Make You More SEO Money

THE SEVEN RULES THAT HELP SUCCESSFULLY SELL PREMIUM SEO PACKAGES

When I started freelancing and fending for myself in this new industry of online marketing I was primarily selling pay per click, web design and SEO services as my core offerings. My goal was to always sell the prospect exactly what they needed and not what made me the most money and that they may not of needed but was nice to have.

I am by no means a salesman, I hate selling and Im not a big fan of meeting new people and pitching them something they don’t really understand. That just seems awkward to me, and me selling face to face is awkward enough I do NOT look like the typical digital sales person being a large tattooed, bearded man I get a few strange looks when I meet people the first time in office settings haha. Fun Fact you will never see me in a business suit ever! I made a pact with myself that if I ever had to wear a corporate suit again I was doing the thing for work.

My goal was to sell $100k of marketing services for the year . I created myself a large database of businesses in my area that needed help with marketing thanks to help of a lead scraping tool called SCOPELEADS. This tool would let me put in locations, service types and some keywords and would go and bring back hundreds of results that matched my exact request. I spent a couple days building this so it got to a nice fat figure of businesses. When I had 200,000 businesses in that database I now had a playground I work in.

My Main Methods of Contacting these Businesses:
1 Email prospecting with website audits, seo audits and more
2 Cold calling getting the manager or owner and highlighting the areas of improvement
3 Walking in cold to the physical business and trying to get the owner and manager

This was some time ago and I was starting out, when you start out the hustle is different you try to attack everything. These methods don’t scale well when you get bigger and bigger but for a one man show these were all I had to get the conversation started with these businesses.

What I learned is all of these methods really really SUCK! no one wants to talk to you or hear how their pride and joy website is missing all of these things they don’t understand. I had a of doors slammed in my face and was a hung up on a lot. But I did learn so much about what these business owners do want to hear and what hooks actually got them to take interest in what I was saying. I believe in  failing forward, so I may have lost 2,000 of those leads from my database but after 2,000 interactions I started picking up on what was working or at least intriguing the interest to take the conversation down other paths.

My confidence grew after figuring out these little 1% signals that I would use to compound and get the business owner invested in the conversation. I hate selling I really do but when it was becoming easier and easier I did kind a start to enjoy turning a no into a yes. A very weird turn of events but this sick little addiction to winning the conversation turned into sales and a steady stream of them closing me a nice little portfolio of new clients. I signed on 45 NEW clients over the span of 3 months. This got the attention of a bigger marketing agency who at the time was losing a lot of client (thanks to yours truly) so they made me an offer to sell my business to them for a nice little payday. I didn’t intend to be el solo while running a 47 client agency so this timed perfect with me scaling and then onboarding my new portfolio into their system and account manager team.

My sale of business was agreed on with one clause. That clause was that I work with the purchasing businesses sales and prospecting team to help them turn around their slump of no sales. I agreed of course I love training and developing talent. That was a no brainer.

I don’t tell you this to impress, big note or get attention, but hopefully, motivate some people who may be starting out to take real action. Now Ive got the 7 tips below to help you level up with selling more SEO. Also because I know what it’s like selling SEO, it’s not an easy task the competition is fierce and the cowboys have made it damn hard to sell.

Seven Tips To Selling Premium SEO Packages
1. Only Target Businesses That Are Already Established And Have An Existing Investing Mindset.

2. Your Success Of Setting Clients Expectations, Will Be A Direct Reflection Of Your Retention & Revenue Success.

3. Frame SEO As A Long Term Growth Plan & You As The Vehicle That Can Only Take Them There.

4. What You Charge For Your Fees Should Be Directly Related To The Potential Value You Bring & The Size Of The Problem You Solve.

5. The Deeper & More Involved In The Client’s Business You Are, The Harder It Is For Them To Operate Without You.

6. Always Give & Deliver Value First. Give Your Best Stuff That Will Help Them Now Before You Ever Ask For The Sale.

7. You Are The Prize, Back Yourselves, Back Your Prices & Be Willing To Walk & Want Nothing!

This forms some of what Ive taught the sales and prospecting team at the agency I consult with thats helped them net $3.4 million in new business.

If you have an existing sales team ask yourself about how they sell and how good are their sales. You should be always reviewing your sales process and communications from sales person to business owner. Do you use the right language, do you highlight their pain points and then your solution all of these really simple conversation points play a pat in getting the conversation turned towards signing on for your services.

What ‘simple things’ can you do to improve sales?
Regardless of what is going on in the economy there are always simple things many businesses can use to improve their sales and profits. Sometimes making more sales is as simple as talking to more potential customers about what you sell. And there are a huge number of simple things you can do to attract more customers.

Here’s an interesting way to attract new customers that was both fun and extremely effective:
A hardware shop increased the number of people coming into their store with a fun competition. They put up a big sign in their window that said: “
We guarantee that if you come into our store one of our people will professionally greet and welcome you within 15 seconds. If they don’t we will give you $50.00 worth of hardware of your choice free” People would walk down the street and read this sign. They would stop for a few seconds and then mentally say to themselves “That sounds interesting; I think I will check it out.” So they would walk inside the hardware store to see more about what was going on.

The store had a bell and buzzer on their door that sounded as soon as you went in. One of their salespeople would excuse themselves if they were dealing with a customer by saying something like “Can you just excuse me for 10 seconds” and then walk over to the person and welcome them to the store.
“Thank you for coming in today, I’m just with someone else so please free to look around. I’ll be with you in a moment”.

This way the customer was always greeted professionally within 15 seconds of walking in to the shop. Now once the people were in the shop guess what many did? They said to themselves, “Well now that I’m here what can I buy that I might need?” Sales increased dramatically. What ‘simple things’ can you try this week to increase your own sales?
The lesson which life repeats and constantly enforces is ‘look under foot.’
The great opportunity is where you are.
 John Burroughs

If you want to sell more of something I highly recommend taking stock of the following:
> your unique selling position
> your customers pain points
> your sales messaging and language
> your sales teams method for getting the actual signing of a sales contract/agreement

The sale is an important part of the process and your USP, your sales people and language even down to how they go for the handshake to confirm the deal are all compounding signals that can be improved by just paying attention to them.

I really hope this was helpful and you are able to implement some changes in your processes and business that result in you getting more sales and higher retainers for your services. If you liked this post please share it. Thanks.

Building An Agency: Service Pricing Models

Building An Agency: Service Pricing Models

Service Pricing Options for Everyone

Agency Pricing Has Caused Me So Many Headaches In The Past.

How do you price your agency or consulting services? I’ve tried so many different models its been a real journey working out what my customers find the most attractive model. There’s really no right answer for the best agency pricing model depending who you ask.

This article will review every agency pricing method available to you and break down the pros and cons of each.At the end, I’ll detail the system I use to determine the best pricing model that suits me and my client portfolio.

Why is this such a headache for agency owners?

Here are the most popular agency pricing models.

Project Based Pricing.
This is when there is an agreement on pricing for a term based campaign for a client project. There will be a sheet of deliverables that everyone is aware of and a term sheet with start and end dates or at least a renewal date.

Pricing in this method is calculated per hour to deliver and calculated over the monthly deliverables and added up to form the yearly project cost. As an example my base rate is $150 per hour.

Examples
> 12 month SEO campaign charged per month at $1,500 for a local websites.
> $2,000 for a website technical health audit
> $450 for a landing page build

Key Takeaway:
Project based pricing is great to get quick contracts moving, these can be low cost up to very large project fees. Best use case is web design or sales funnels building where you are building things with end dates and not ongoing work. Ive found that the biggest killer with this model is scope creep where the agreed deliverables keep changing and the amount everyone agreed on becomes less and less as more changes take place.

Fixed Fee Pricing
Flat fee pricing charges a flat amount for your service. I generally look at this as an ongoing scope / engagement (i.e. monthly fee), not a one-off engagement. Calculate your pricing here by either productising your services so its clear or by calculating the hours to complete this deliverable.A lot of agencies start here because it’s simple to quantify, both from an agency management and client understanding perspective. Very popular pricing model if you deliver done for you jobs.

Examples:
> $100 Keyword research 50 pack
> $150 Done for you onpage SEO
> $150 Website tracking review

Key Takeaway:
Great for starting your agency and taking on smaller jobs. The pricing model is very clear everyone understands the outcome. Deliverables can be ticked off and hard to mess up. Best use case is smaller jobs and jobs for set budgets. A let down is that is fixed per job and hard to grow into monthly retainer, hard to get your team to invest focus into projects that are ending and not ongoing.

Performance Based Pricing

This method I don’t recommend for new agencies its best suited for seasoned agencies and especially those running pay per click campaigns. Lead generation is also a really good use case where you can really demonstrate the phone ringing or the products selling. That then justifies your service fees and enables you to get paid no questions.

Examples:
> $40 per phone call or email lead
> $80 per phone call actual booking
> 20% of each sale from referral traffic
> Free SEO if we don’t rank you for Criminal lawyer Sydney in 90 days

Key Takeaway:
If you do perform the client will be very happy. If you get the targeting wrong you wont get paid. Very highly profitable method if you can produce the leads and sales, can take up your time setting thing sup with risk of no payment if it fails. While you have the traffic you may depend on the client to convert the lead to sale. Very hard to build reliable ongoing income especially if Google updates algorithms and Facebook bans advertising for face masks or supplements lol. You don’t control the traffic delivery channels.

Value Based Pricing Model

I really don’t use this method anymore because there are better cleaner pricing models that you can use. This method swap the time resource factor for a perceived “Value” that your work can attribute to the client campaign. This is best suited for agencies that have a great network of influencers, really good developers or programmers who can build custom tools.

I like to take the stance that working with me is the value. That might sound cocky but Ive worked pretty hard to build my process library and read markets. This in itself is my value add to any campaign I put my hands on. Clients unfortunately do not understand this, and rightly so they know their product and in most cases don’t understand what we do in online marketing.

I want to stress that this is for perceived value that you can be attributed for. There is no clear tracking where you can say that you built the Ad, got the click and then the visitor signed up for the product you cna report you were responsible for that sale. This method does not work like this.

Taking a finance calculator for example, Ive been contracted to build finance calculators before and I did my part that was to code up the loan repayment calculator and include a form of lead capture so that users were turned into leads. This was the easy part but figuring out the actual value took me some time to then track users actions and how that user turned into a lead or a sale and how much $ revenue that lead was worth. This is an absolute HEADACHE.

Examples:
> Influencer marketing campaigns
> Promoting press releases
> Building calculators and engagement tools

Key Takeaways
I don’t really do this anymore except when I include this in with an ecommerce services retainer. It’s very hard to clearly demonstrate you’re direct or attributed impact. This method relies on something you often cant track 100% and someone else or something else. When questioned by a client it can be hard to show your value that you directly contributed.

Retainer Based Pricing Model

This is my preferred agency pricing method. You get a retainer that is paid a month in advance and you can bank on these. If you start stacking clients this money adds up real fast. But this is great for forecasting revenue it feels more controlled from an operational level knowing every month this is the figure I get in retainer fees.

This works best when you can clearly demonstrate to the client that if they pay xxx monthly and you will do AB & C each month for them.

Examples:

> Local SEO $1,500 monthly for 5 hours
> Social media marketing $2,000 monthly for 10 posts a month on 3 platforms
> Facebook Ad management $1,100 monthly to manage Facebook Ads with media spend of $4,000 monthly

Key Takeaways

I find this the best pricing model that works for me. If I understand what it costs me per hour to do the work and I know how long my team takes to deliver the work I can start to see per month what my expenses are verse what my ideal price point is and calculate the revenue. Boom Im now able to understand how my business is financially if I build this model and scale my client base.

Hourly Pricing Model

This makes a lot of sense to use hourly pricing IF you have a very systemized service list. Understanding your services as products will help you charge for these by the hour.  This compliments the retainer model.

I want to know for every person in my team, how much do I need to pay them per hour. Then I need to know what their output is per person like 6 hours a day or more. Then how many tasks they can do in 6 hours and then how many services can we deliver x team members x hour  x day and so on. This helps me clearly see what I have to pay internally and what I can deliver on verse what I can charge and fulfil.

Examples:

> Website Audit takes 8 hours each hour charged at $150
> Build local website 25 hours of development charged at $170 per hour website sale cost $4250

Key Takeaway:

This works for me and works really well along side the retainer model. I am a processes nerd and need to itemise my services so that I know how long it takes to deliver and then how many I can deliver per day. The hourly pricing model is the smart way to price up your agency services. But the upfront work of listing and documenting your time to deliver so you can calculate expense verse revenue.

What Pricing Model Do I Suggest?
I am a big fan of combining the hourly pricing model with the retainer model. I need my services to be listed like ecommerce products because I can list the features and how long it takes me to fulfil these per month and tell my client that this is the hours we put in and how long it takes to make this work or deliver this work. The delivery plan is clear includes what I am going to do and how long it takes me and its very easy to see my hourly rates and how long it will take to do everything and the price makes sense based on hours.

Clients have all the information they need in front of them and can make the call if that suits them. I also offer a MacDonalds style small medium and large hours package that the client can choose the hour allocation that fits their budget or their need to feel that their campaigns are getting attention.

Now I want to give you some more reasoning why I like this combo so you can really understand and build this into your agency. I want you to build a financially strong agency and still be here in 2 years.

I have experienced alignment issues between my sales team, my finance/admin team and then my service delivery teams and the root cause of this alignment issue is pricing.

> Universal billing and sales systems: You want to use a sales system thats simple. Everyone needs to understand the pricing model and how it’s being billed. It’s common for sales people to throw in freebies or decrease sale amount to get the sale signed, this is often not communicated to the person who will be billing the client.
> Using hours to scale: When you use hours package its very easy to ask clients to increase the hours per month. Its also a common question from clients “why does this take so long?” well perfect mr client if you could increase the hours I can spend working on this campaign I can give you more attention and do more for you. Very easy way to turn a client on the small hourly package to a large hourly package.
> Adhoc client requests: You wouldn’t be an agency if you didn’t get those adhoc client requests with tight deadlines. This works so well with hourly pricing because all you need to do is say ok mr client that will take 3 hours thats 4150 per hour to do this do you agree with this, I’ll send you the invoice and BAM! extra 3 hours work added accounted for and managed.
> Transparency: The agency model has such a black cloud hovering over it because of the cowboys doing things with shortcuts, making a quick buck and just being shit in delivery of actual marketing services. When you can come to a meeting with a client have a marketing plan laid out, how many months estimate to hit target, how many hours per month to deliver the work and how much per hour that will cost to get the end results YOU look like a superstar because everything is in the open.
> Resource tracking: hours are the best way to track your agency resources. If you have a process that is eating too many hours you can review it and decrease time to deliver. If you have a team member who is really slow to deliver you can identify why and try and improve productivity. Ive applied some CRO to my delivery when Ive identified a task that was eating delivery hours once we looked at it then we could optimise it. Reduce time spent to deliver increased productivity and the expense to deliver.

I think it’s critical that you know your cost per seat of team members and then time to complete tasks so you know how to calculate delivery. This removes the unkown you will have a plan for when to add new team members or hold hiring and when to look at outsourcing verse keeping it all in-house for delivery.

“Maths Don’t Lie!”.

To truely scale your agency you need clients and its not so easy to just add more clients. Why I pay attention to my internal systems so closely is because by doing some simple optimisation of my people and systems. Knowing when to make strategic moves can be the difference between you making $5k a month or $20k a month (more if you follow this blog).

The biggest takeaway you should have from this is
1 Itemise your service list
2 Know your cost per seat
3 Build those delivery estimates
4 Use hourly pricing model with retainer model

Use the agency pricing model that best suits your business and don’t just blindly follow me here as I dont know your business. Take stock of what you have currently and identify if you need to focus on anything before you start to grow. If you have an agency already this is aimed at you review your processes, review your team members hourly allocations and then look at your pricing models.

New agency owners this was built just for you to help select the methods you use to charge for your services. I hope this helps you make a successful agency that ranks and banks.

How You Can Design High Converting Web Pages

Webpage Layout Success

I know that when I browse online I’m looking for things that peak my interest. I want to be entertained and delighted its not a big ask but it is my browsing habit that I understand. I want to see interesting and informative websites serve me helpful content and unique images that are not blurry.

Now as a marketer I know most of my webpages I work on Im either selling a product or a service or influencing a visitor to take an action that will lead to that next step being a transaction or enquiry to something that makes money. This is unavoidable as a online marketer we have to be making ourselves or someone else money to be employed.

The Key Elements of A High Converting Webpage Are:
1 Focus header with crisp clear hero image and CTA
2 Uncluttered page layout using 3-5 main elements

3 Clear calls to action per page
4 Clear micro conversion points per row
5 Content that helps move the user into the conversion phase
6 Images that help inform the user that your product/service works
7 The Story carries throughout the webpage

Lets expand on each point listed here so you get a clear understanding of how important each one is and the best use case for them on your money webpages.

Number 1 Focus Header & Hero Image Explained:
When you first land on a webpage you land on the header and are usually greeted by a hero image or banner that should instantly confirm the reason you clicked through to this page is what this page is about.

User flow example.
You searched for “Website chat bots” and the first results claims that its all about website chat bots this meets your first needs.
You click through to the website and you should be greeted by an image and messaging that confirms that this webpage serves website chat bots as its primary focus. If you were greeted by a picture of a gym shoe you would be wondering WTF does that have to do with fixing my problem with my website live chat feature.

Number 2 How Uncluttered Webpage Layouts Matter:
I learnt a lot of webpage layouts working in ecommerce, my sole goal 90% of the time is to get the user to land on the webpage and read just enough to know that the product we have on the page is right for them. The next logical step is to make buying that product as easy as can be usually a 2 click process.

Most of the time I would suggest product images to the left and the key notes, features and pricing immediately on the right with a ADD TO CART or BUY NOW button directly under the key description points. This converts very well and if you look at ecommerce stores now almost 99% of them do this layout as a standard because it works.

You do not want to clutter that flow in any way, your other content needs to go below the product. Every bit of content even the SEO juice content and reviews get pushed down the page to keep that transactional flow first and foremost. No distractions no clutter.

Number 3 Expanding on Clear Calls to Action:

The number one hook point you have on your webpages are the Calls to Action or in short CTA. These are what make people take action and when you find the winning formula for your webpage you will notice an increase in leads & conversions.

Number 4 Can You Include Micro Conversions In Your Webpage?
Yes you can once that number 1 priority goal has been established. You never want to confuse people with too many options and want to keep the overarching goal to be 1 page 1 goal. There are however micro conversions you can include per webpage row.

A row on your webpage if you think of your webpages like excel spreadsheets, you have rows going across the spreadsheet and columns running down the spreadsheet and they work together to help align data into easy to read sections. Your webpages are based from this type of organisational design using rows and columns to build the page.

You may have also guessed at this point that I’m a huge nerd and you are 100% correct I love this stuff.

Now back to the spreadsheets example, taking my webpage here I am using a x1  column downward layout with a x4 row across layout. Within each one of the four rows I can add small micro goals to influence the bigger goal we have of the page.

Number 5 Why Your Content Matters
Content used on your webpage helps to build the story behind the product or the service.

Number 6 How Images Help Influence Action
Nothing speaks as loudly to your website visitors as images. Use the wrong image and you will see a high bounce rates in your analytics, but use an image people connect with and you will see people stay on the webpage and engage more with the page because they feel this page connects with them and what they are looking for.

Number 7 Are You Telling Your Story Throughout the Webpage?
Good marketing is really just clever storytelling if we were to break it down to the nuts and bolts of it.

Conclusion
If you want to take this serious you need a basic understanding of design vs function. I cant count on one hand the number of arguments Ive had with UX designers because of conversion impact issues by design getting in the way. Funny that a UX designer could block transactions but it happens when you don’t understand the full spectrum of the sales funnel.

Keep the webpage you care about to a 1 page 1 goal limit and you will start to get a feel for what works for various things you sell. Don’t rush into things always test and measure to understand how behaviour and patterns work towards the transaction flow of your webpages. Keep it super simple until you know you have it under control.
Thanks for reading and put what you read into practice.
